DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT INSPIRE US TO GIVE A MESSAGE OR WRITE A BOOK? The Christians who do not know about the Holy Spirit talk of Him as they wish. God said, one has to meditate upon the word of God day and night to understand it properly but our preachers do not do it and preach it every Sunday without having a complete knowledge of it. We also hear them asking the Holy Spirit to be their spokesperson. They preach all the non sense and say that this is from the Holy Spirit. They do not even know who the Holy Spirit is and call Him saying ‘Holy Spirit Father’. They also say ‘Jesus our Father, the Holy Spirit’ and confuse the people with the term ‘Trinity’ which is nowhere mentioned in the Bible. Galatians 4:6 says, “God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” When God said He sent forth the Spirit of His Son, is it proper to say that the Father has come down in the form of Jesus? Do you think these people are guided by the Holy Spirit? They do not understand what is written in the Bible and do not even have time to study it properly. They misunderstood the word of God and preach the same to others. I would like to put one such thing before you. We hear them saying, ‘It is the Holy Spirit who speaks from within them’. They say this with reference to Matthew 10:17-21- “For beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour (when you are put before the governors and kings as a criminal) what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.” They take these words of Jesus and think that it is the Holy Spirit who speaks out from them. In those days the disciples were helpless when they preached the gospel. They were in the midst of the people, who were under the control of Satan, and were ready to do any sort of harm to stop them from spreading the gospel. It is then that the Holy Spirit intervened to help them out of the situation. Would you like to read what Paul said to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:2? “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all the long suffering and teaching.” It is said that one has to strive to preach the gospel and it is not proper to say that the Holy Spirit would look into it and you don’t have to do anything. We find many specialists in the field of medicine; a specialist for heart, a specialist for nerves, a specialist for skin, and so on. It is indeed strange to find people having specialized in some of the books of the Bible; some in the book of Psalms, some in revelation, and some in Song of Songs and so on. They write books on their subject with their own understanding and say that it has been written by the Holy Spirit’s inspiration. There are some pastors who can not read Bible but say that it is God who revealed everything to them. They do not have time to read the Bible like the people who don’t have time to cook in their houses and are used to the ready-made cooked foods. They look for readymade messages and preach what ever is written in the book without bothering to see if it is correct and meant the same. All the scholars who wrote the Bible divided it into present, past, and future tense. So we see Peter telling about Paul’s epistles in 2 Peter 3:16, “As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.” One needs to be a literate to read the Bible and understand it. Even Peter said that he couldn’t understand the epistles of Paul and one needs to be a literate to understand it. Peter, who was with

Christ for so many days, couldn’t understand it. So is it possible for an illiterate to understand it and preach it? But they preach to make a livelihood or to deceive people. Look once at the books written by the people. We find errors written right from the prologue to the end of the book. The same book of Revelation is written by many and each say that they have written it with the inspiration of Holy Spirit. The point is, no two writings match and each one interprets it in a different way. When it is the same Holy Spirit who inspired them, why are there different interpretations? Did you get the point at least now? Do you still think it to be the work of the Holy Spirit? See how they have made God a liar. Are these people eligible to speak the word of God? There are many who believed their teachings, including the scholars! So see what Jesus Christ said about people like these in Mark 4:24- “Take heed what you hear”. Is there at least one Christian who is bothered to find what he is listening? They just take whatever is preached as a word from God. So, think about it at least now. Dear readers, it is very clear that the Holy Spirit doesn’t inspire anybody to give a message or write a book and this is understood from the words of the Bible. 2 Peter 1:20, 21 say, “No prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” So we understand that the whole Bible was written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and there is no need for the Holy Spirit to inspire anybody to write a book or give a message. All we have to do is read it carefully, meditate upon it to understand it properly, and search the Scriptures to have a complete understanding of it. Do not put God and people in trouble by doing as you please in His name! ===
