Sabbath, November 24 Bring a bag or box of groceries to worship services on Sabbath, November 24. Look for the “harvest” decor area as you enter the sanctuary. Please bring food donations to place in this designated area before you take your seat. All donated items will go to restock the food pantry at the Good Neighbor House. Let’s share with others less fortunate with a tangible expression of our gratitude and thankfulness. SPRING VALLEY ACADEMY Christmas Choral Concert — Friday, December 7, at 7:00 p.m. at the Kettering SDA Church, featuring students in grades K-8 and the High School Choir. Grades 5-12 Bands Concert — “ concert will be Monday, December 10, at 7:30 p.m. at Spring Valley Academy.

COMMUNITY Winter Warm-up — Kettering College is again collecting winter coats/gloves/scarves for the Good Neighbor House. Look for the blue barrel near the church office. Thank you for supporting the Good Neighbor House and the “Winter Warm-up” initiative. Administrative Assistant Position — Good Neighbor House is seeking an administrative assistant 30-40 hours a week. Responsibilities will include supporting the Executive Director as well as maintaining documents, statistical reports, hourly employee time sheets, correspondence and records. Applicants must have extensive software skills, including MS Office products, strong written and verbal communication skills, and internet research abilities. A high school diploma plus 1-3 years experience in a related field is required. An Associate’s Degree in any business related field is preferred. Good Neighbor House —We can’t wait for you to visit us in our new home at 627 E. First Street in downtown Dayton. For a smooth and safe transition, we will close November 19. We’ll be excited to open on January 2, 2013. Because of many of you, we can move to our new facility. While we are closed, please continue to drop off your much-needed inkind contributions at our NEW site and know your monetary gifts will reach us safely. Fabric to Donate — If you come across fabric (cotton, muslin, flannel, and/or fleece) that you don't know what to do with, please consider donating it to a worthy cause. Sheryl Bullman has been a member of a national online quilting group and 100% of the quilts made go to different local charities. Now, Sheryl have accepted a volunteer "partnership" with Dayton's Ronald McDonald House to make quilts for their facility; quilts to be given to their sick little guests to take home with them when they're discharged. As this will be an ongoing project, Sheryl would appreciate any and all fabric donations to help with this cause. SPANISH CHRISTMAS PARTY You are invited to an All-Church Social sponsored by Women's Ministry. A Spanish Christmas Party will be happen Saturday, December 1, at 5 p.m. in the fellowship hall. This familyoriented party will begin with an experiential vespers, teaching the meaning of receiving strangers in our midst, and a visit to the Bethlehem stable. A taco salad supper will follow, plus a piñata game, carol karaoke, and a cookie decorating contest for all ages. Join in the fun to kick off the Christmas season!

Gloves for Sandy We need your help

We hope to collect 1,000+ of gloves for cleaning up the mess of Hurricane Sandy. We will ship them to the Greater New York Conference Adventist Community Service Warehouse for volunteers and residents to use in the affected area. Please bring new gloves by Monday, November 26, to the Kettering Church.
