We Come Into Christ’s Presence Call to Worship............................................................................................Jerry Taylor (congregation standing) Leader: People: Leader: People: Leader: People:

Come for now is the time to worship. We come, seeking to sit at the feet of Jesus Christ, our redeemer, and learn of Him. Come, for He has given us the Sabbath rest and is worthy of our worship. We seek to know our Heavenly Father and to understand His greatness. Come and lift up your hearts, for where two or three are gathered in the Lord’s name, He has promised to be among us. We come to worship in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord. Let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him. The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.

“Let It Rain, Let It Rain, Let It Rain” Part 3 in series: I. Our Need for Rain II. A Biblical Perspective on the Early and Latter Rain A. (Deuteronomy 11:13-14, NKJV) And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that your soul, then I will give you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil. B. (Jeremiah 3:2-3, NKJV) You have polluted the land with your harlotries and your wickedness. Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain. You have had a harlot’s forehead; You refuse to be ashamed.

C. (Joel 2:23, ESV) Be glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given the early rain for your vindication; he has poured down for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before.

D. (James 5:7, NKJV) Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. III. Observations about the Latter Rain A. ___________________________________________________________________ (Acts 2:1-4, NKJV) When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with and other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. B. ___________________________________________________________________ (Matthew 5:14-16, NKJV) You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. C. ___________________________________________________________________ (Ezekiel 34:26, NKJV) I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing. Benediction:

(Zechariah 10:1) Ask the Lord for rain In the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain
