We Come Into Christ’s Presence Call to Worship..........................................................................................Randy Daniel (congregation standing) Pastor: Come, let us worship our Creator and Redeemer. People: We come as Christ has called us. We know

that we have all sinned and are not worthy of a place at Christ’s table. We know that Christ died for our sins that we might be called the people of God.

Pastor: Hear the good news of the gospel, that our sins are forgiven, covered by the blood of Christ's

righteousness. People:

Let us lift up the name of Jesus. Let us bow down and pray before Him. Let our lives be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Pastor: Come, let us worship in the name of the father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Receiving of the Bread and the Wine The deacons will pass you the tray with the bread and wine (unfermented grape juice). Pass the tray to your neighbor who will then serve you before passing the tray. It is our custom to serve everyone prior to being invited to eat the bread and then the wine at the same time together, symbolizing that we are one body in Christ.

Music during Communion:

Maurice Duruflé.................................I Cantori

Where there is genuine affection and love, God Himself is there. Let us gather together in the unity of Christ’s love. Let us rejoice exceedingly in one accord. Let us worship the living God with a heart full of sincerity. Where there is genuine affection and love, God Himself is there.

Worship Notes: Participants: Shelina Berglund, our young adults intern, presents today’s sermon. Randy Daniel, an elder and financial counselor, hosts today’s worship. Grant Wareham, a sophomore homeschool student, is the organist for today’s service. Jerry Taylor, our minister of worship and music, is away on vacation and will return to the office on March 5. The Lord’s Supper — Seventh-day Adventists practice open communion, believing that it is available to anyone of any faith who professes belief in Jesus Christ and a desire to be His follower. The decision of what age a child may start receiving communion is left to the discretion of the parent. I Cantori, the choir from Southern Adventist University, is under the direction of Gennevieve Brown-Kibble, presents today’s service music. was written by J. S. Bach when he was 21 years old and had just recently returned to Arnstadt from his visit to Lubeck for study with Buxtehude. Bach originally titled the Prelude, , and there are references to the Fugue being based upon a tune composed in 1609 by Thomas Ravenscroft commonly known today as "Three Blind Mice." Musicologists debate if this could have been Bach's reaction to the church fathers who were upset by his extended stay in Lubeck.

Friday evening, March 9: Lee Venden will begin the revival series. A soup supper will be provided at 5:45 p.m. in the fellowship hall and the presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. Next Sabbath, March 10: Guest speaker, Lee Venden, will present different sermons at 9:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.
