Climate change With the development of science and technology, our life is getting better and better. But there are also some problems; the biggest problem is the climate change. We can be found from a lot of ways around the Earth's climate change, like: Higher temperatures: Greenhouse gases are trapping more heat in the Earth's atmosphere, which is causing of the higher temperatures. The 2000 to 2009 was the warmest decade ever recorded. It can be dangerous, because it can cause many illnesses: heat cramps, heat stroke, or even death. It also can change reaction of other things, such as affects the oceans, weather patterns, snow and ice, and plants and animals, etc. More droughts: The drought is causing by a lack of rain or snow. As temperatures rise due to global climate change, more moisture evaporates from land and water. Since the 1970s, droughts increases longer and severe. It means we have less water available for drinking, watering crops, making electricity at hydroelectric dams, and other uses. In some countries, water is already scarce. Wilder weather: As the higher temperatures, the ocean gets warmer and increases evaporation. It causes more hurricanes and other tropical storms. Over the past 20 years, hurricanes and other tropical storms have become stronger. They can make flooding, damage buildings, roads, and other structures, harm crops and put people's lives in danger. Changing rain and snow patterns: As temperatures rise and the air becomes warmer, cause the precipitation isn't spread evenly around the world and change weather patterns. Too litter or too much water can be a big problem. In many places, there are some droughts, and other places, heavy rain can cause flooding. Less snowpack and melting glaciers: The cause of temperatures rise, snowpack and glacier can be melt. They add more water into the ocean, which causes sea level to rise. Shrinking sea ice:
In the winter, the area covered by ice gets bigger, and in the summer it gets smaller. Many animals depend on sea ice for their homes and hunting grounds. If there is less ice, the Earth will absorb more energy from the sun, which causes changes that lead to even more warming.
Thawing permafrost Permafrost refers to a layer of soil or rock that is frozen all year round. As temperature rises, can cause permafrost to thaw. When permafrost melts, the land changes shape and it can damage buildings and infrastructure like roads, airports, water, sewer pipes and affects ecosystems. Another reason to be concerned about permafrost is because it has a lot of carbon trapped inside. As it thaws, this carbon is released to atmosphere in the form of methane, a powerful greenhouse gas. It causes changes that lead to even more warming. Increased ocean acidity: Carbon dioxide is added to the atmosphere whenever people burn fossil fuels. Oceans are more important to keep the Earth's carbon cycle in balance. As the carbon dioxide reacts with sea water to from carbonic acid. It causes the ocean to become more acidic. In ocean, there are a lot of biological. As the ocean to become more acidic, causes the biological death. Warmer Oceans As the temperatures rise, oceans absorb some of this heat and also become warmer. They affect weather patterns, cause more powerful tropical storms and can impact many kinds of sea life. They are also one of the main causes of rising sea level. Rising Sea Level As water gets warmer, it takes up more space. Sea level is also rising because melting glaciers and ice sheets and adding more water to the oceans. The sea level rise can threat to people who live near the ocean. Some lowlying place will have more frequent flooding and could be submerged completely. It can also harm important coastal ecosystems.
The global climate change will affect people and the environment and it will be serious. However, as the Earth keeps getting warmer, there are a lot of negative effects. We can see why people need to take action to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions
that are causing climate change. We can also take steps to prepare for the changes we know are coming. And here are some proposals to reduce the climate change: •
When you go to a close place, use the bicycle or walk to there: The smoke of the car is much more polluting. This is one important way to stop the climate change.
When you go out, turn off the lights.
Don’t waste water.
Don’t cut the trees.
Don’t use sprays. Use the public transport or go by train if the distance is too long.
From around the little things, let us work together to protect our Earth to let it becomes a better.
