RITUA L T H E S W E AT LO D G E

D ESI GN The inspiration for the design comes from the Aboriginal ritual of the Sweat Lodge. It is a ritual where indiviuals or as a group spend time within a closed structure to provide spirtual enlightenment. Within these enclosed domes there is a heated pit where water is poured over hot rocks to create steam. This ceremony can last for several hours. The design takes key elements from this ritual; to provide a comfortable seating that allows individuals to sit for an extended amount of time to social and stay warm outdoors.
