MIGUEL CASTELLANOS GUITARIST
CURRICULUM Miguel Castellanos holds a Bachelor degree in music with a specialty in guitar at Conservatory of the Roses, student of Mtro. Federico Bañuelos (upper level) and Mtro. Raul Olmos (intermediate level), as well as the “Corso Master” with Mtro Paolo Pegoraro in the “Academy Francisco Tárrega” in Pordenone Italy.
As soloist, he has offered concerts, playing the most representative compositions of the guitar repertoire on several occasions, accompanied by orchestras such as the State of Chihuahua Philharmonic Orchestra, Conservatory of the Roses Chamber Orchestra, UMSNH Chamber Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the State of Michoacán; also he has formed part of the “Las Rosas Assembly” and the “Symfonietta of Morelia” on several occasions.
He has given concerts in some of the most important music festivals in Mexico, as well as in different forums in Spain and the United States, among them: • International Guitar Festival of Morelia (2004, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2014) • Concert in Caldas del rey, Galicia Spain (2004) • Concert at Jeanette McDonald Hall in the University of Southern California (2005) • International Contemporary Music Festival of Monterrey, (2005) • International Festival “Amado Nervo” Tepic, Nayarit,(2005) • 1st Guitar pedagogical day Morelia, Michoacán (2006). • International Guitar festival “Guitarromanía”, Colima, Colima.(2008) • II International Guitar Festival of Durango, Durango, Dgo. (2010) • International Guitar Festival “Guitars in autumn” Toluca Edo de Mex, (2009 and 2011). • International Guitar Festival of Sonora, Hermosillo, Sonora, (2013) Nowadays, he has recorded 4 productions independently: • Castellanos, Miguel. - Live Recordings (2005). •Castellanos Miguel. - Música para guitarra, Francisco Tárrega´s compositions (2006). •Castallanos , Miguel, - Preludio, interpreting various composers, Yuri Nilo, Simone Iannarelli, Agustín Barrios, Manuel M. Ponce, Jesús Silva, Heitor Villa – Lobos y Miguel Bernal Jiménez. (2009). •Castallanos , Miguel, -La que sigue…! , An interesting collection of suites for guitar by Carlo Domenicone, Alejandro Basulto, Ignacio Martínez y Marco de Biasi (2012).
In addition to his career as soloist, he has redeemed an important trajectory as meeting session musician in diverse projects and even as composer (predominantly music for theater), highlighting his participation in: • From Inside (1996), Santo Golpe (1997) and Degenesis (1998) – Session guitarist – Dominique Jonard´s Shorts. • The Process of Juana de Arco, Composition and recording – Staging under the direction of Roberto Briceño, 1998. • Don Juan Tenorio – Session Guitarist and interpreter in alive during the period – Recording and interpretation alive of the music composed by Eduardo Solís, Morelia, Mich, 2003. • Moon – Session Guitarist and alive interpreter during the period – Opera of the composer Luis Jaime Cortés, released in the Juárez Theater (Guanajuato, Gto) “Cervantine Festival”, 2003. • Baal– Composition and guitarist – Text of Bertolt Brecht led to scene under the guidance of Roberto Briseño, 2006. • eComunidades– Composition and recording of the music for the eComunidades informative capsules, UNAM, Campus Morelia, 2014. In an alternate way to his career as a soloist, at present, he is a professor of the Chair of Guitar in Conservatory of the Roses and the Popular Faculty of Fine arts at University Michoacana.

Requirements : Before the performance: • Comfortable and private Camerino, right to rest and warm up before the concert. • Coffee , water and soft drinks (for two people) . • A platter of cold meats and fruits ( for two people) . • A chair without armrests and seat completely flat ( equal to that which will be put on stage for the concert ) . Requirements stage : • Chair without arm rests and seat completely horizontal . • For areas that require amplification , it must have an adequate amplification or failing organizer must hire charge with the prior permission of the artist that is suitable for the concert. Technical requirements should be required amplification : • Two microphone stands like “ boom” or “ T” in good condition. • Amplification and monitoring room ( depending on the size and acoustics of the forum )
