CROSSING BORDERS Pretends to give accompaniment to the vulnerable children and the elderly who are in the city’s different nongovernmental organizations in several issues like cultural diversity, social change agents, environmental preservation, emotional Intelligence management, leadership and personal perspective.

LEARNING This educational Project looks for an alternative program of education in students from schools, universities & companies, its main purpose is developing the multiculturalism, and create a global vision not just in the students, it’s also for the trainee which is developing the Project.

WESPEAK This Educational Project has as its main objective to Foster and strengthen of the teaching of a second language (English, Portuguese, French, German) creating an international environment which stimulates the cultural diversity and the interaction between students and trainees from different countries

SUMMERCAMPS

The Camps look for promoting the development of leadership and team work through the immersion in new global perspectives, this is made by the trainees which are in charge of the execution of recreational activities, workshops and presentations in an AIESEC supervised environment .

ART & ENVIRONMENTAL FESTIVAL 2 This project consist in organize and make this festival a reality, the purpose of A&Ef 2 is to convince the population of Ibague to clean the city through a parade through the city and also have public relationships with the authorities to make a unique event in the city finishing with a festival of music and dances.

ALFABETA This national project looks for literate 60 people in the city helping them to be more competitive and also more valuable to the society, providing them new opportunities plus a global vision and accomplishing one of the main drivers of the national government which is reduce the illiteracy in Colombia

GLOBAL VILLAGE During the experience in the every social project there are some activities in universities, schools and malls called Global Villages, where the Trainee shows his/her culture, and invite people to do social exchanges

REQUIREMENTS

Bring typical things from your country such as:

FLAGS, hats, clothing, liquor, food, souvenirs, books, games, pictures, postcards and ATTITUDE


TRAINEE MEETING AIESEC Tolima develops activities, planning strategies and feedbacks for the developed project by the trainees, also AIESEC Members are in charge of being available when the trainee needs something during the experience. It’s very important for us to assure the trainee will have the best experience in the city.


HOUSING AND FEEDING GLOBAL FAMILIES PROGRAM (HOST FAMILIES) AIESEC Tolima in all its social projects provide free accommodation and food (at least two meals per day)*, usually Colombian families and AIESEC Members host the trainees with the advantage of having the opportunity to live and learn the different things from the Colombian culture, which makes a plus during the experience

The Trainee has to be aware that is part of a family so the trainee has to contribute with the day by day activities (making the bed, washing the trainee’s clothing and sharing time with the family) *Some host families offer three meals per day but we guarantee two of them


DELIVERY When the trainee arrives to the city, the Delivery team pick him/her up and take the trainee to the host family place, also we do the Intern preparation seminar, cultural training and work training


GLOBAL BUDDIES Every trainee will have two people from the city who will show the Colombian culture, also the buddy will help the trainee in everything which may need
