The Paseo De San Antonio in San Jose is a thoroughfare from the lightrail stations to the University. Through a fabric tactic, design the area into a space that invites people to come and linger; instead of just using it as a walkway, or to sit and do work.

As a group, we used the fabric tactic stitching to bring different types of programs together, such as sitting, by providing picnic style benches and two custom made seating areas, biking, by providing more areas to lock the bike, and shopping, by adding shelves for a small farmers market, and two public ADA bathrooms.

Design a communal restaurant atmosphere that promotes community, gathering and lingering. The restaurant will serve small dishes, wine, beer and cocktails and will host regular movie screenings and live music.

Stitching the paseo and the restaurant together by creating a track seating system in which the tables can move in or out, a paving system that runs into the restaurant along with lights that run both on the ground and ceiling and ceiling high accordion glass doors that open up the space. The Space contains an area in which all the beverages can be served, a small kitchen and two ADA bathrooms in the back. There are two screens, one on the south wall and one on the west wall behind the bar. The main entertainment area, by the south wall, will be used for both live music and movie nights. This way more seats can be added and will intrigue passerbys.
