Grants offered! AEOLIS offers for 2012 one individual grant to non native teachers of Modern or Ancient Greek. The grant covers the participation fee for a one-week group course of Modern Greek in any level. Contact us for details on the application. All the above courses have been accredited by the European Commission and approved for

individual in-

service training grants by the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP). Educators of adults or professionals involved in adult education programmes in various organizations (museums, libraries, publishing houses, Non-profit organizations, Vocational Training Centres, etc) can get an individual grant to cover all their expenses. Contact us to guide you to fill in your application to your National Agency.

NOTES 1. The daily schedule of language programmes includes daily 2 hours of language instruction, 2 hours of language workshop (language games, communication activities, presentations and lectures by Greek intellectuals, writers, artists, local politicians, and everyday people), and two hours of educational and cultural activities (presentations on history, the arts and society, Greek dance lesson, Greek cookery class, singing lesson, Greek film, cultural walks and visits). 2. The daily schedule of European Cultural Identity and Greece includes outdoor activities in museums, archaeological sites, artists’ ateliers, accompanied by experts and audiovisual presentations

3. In the Languages United: Greek and Turkish Tandem programme the language instruction is either in Greek or in Turkish. 4. In the Ancient Greek programme the language workshop includes practice in translation, getting to know the writers and the history and introduction to Modern Greek. 5. In the Languages United: Greek and Turkish Tandem programme the language workshop is the Greek-Turkish Tandem. 6. Only one and two-week programmes are available at the start date 27/8/2012.

 Former participants of the Hellenic Culture Centre’s or Aeolis’s programmes will be offered a 1 0 % d i s c o u n t on any programme

Notes: i) The educational hour lasts 60΄ ii) During the study time the students are helped to do their homework, watch a Greek movie or TV with a staff member, listen to Greek radio, play board games, and read newspapers iii) There is a half-hour break between the lessons and the language workshop iv) The language workshop includes: language games, communication activities, lectures and conversations with various guests, presentations on Greek culture, film projection and conversation, presentation of projects by the participants
