McKeown Assistant Principal: Mrs. Margaret Bernstein ‘76 Enrollment: 210 young women 16-17 Tuition: $10,150 Fees: Upon acceptance, Class of 2021 will have a one-time registration fee of $300 due February 3, 2017 and their first tuition payment of $750 due March 8, 2017. These payments are non-refundable. Dress Code: Uniform Scholarships: Students who list SSHS as their first or second choice will be considered for scholarships. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance and TACHS scores. Academic • Individualized honors program • Average class size – 16 • 12 Advanced Placement courses offered in all disciplines at senior, junior and sophomore levels • Concurrent enrollment in college courses through St. John’s University and St. Joseph’s College • Minimum 5-year foreign language study: Latin, French, Spanish; college-credit available in each language • 4-year Religious Studies and retreat program • Fine Arts program with advanced study options in Music and Studio Art. Ensemble class offered for students who have some formal training in playing a musical instrument. Music Production elective for seniors. Personal one-on-one art portfolio development. • High Speed Wi-Fi access with BYOD program, Google Apps for Ed, Windows and MAC based Computer lab, Programming, Robotics • Technology initiatives include: Digital Citizenship, Java Programming, Learning Arduino, Game Design Concepts, Minecraft, 3D Design and beginner to advanced photoshop Guidance • Two qualified counselors guide students through their four years of academic, personal and college selection/application process • Comprehensive college-prep program implemented in junior and senior years • Annual College Fair • Individualized and small group tutoring available before, during and after school

Success • 100% of graduates attend college • 74% of the graduates of 2016 earned merit scholarships • 70% of the senior class are enrolled in college-level courses • Recent college acceptances include: Bard, Binghamton, Boston College, Boston University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Colorado School of Mines, George Washington University, Macaulay School of Honors, NYU Engineering, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Occidental College, Princeton University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rochester Institute of Technology, Smith College, U.C.
