The is my strength and my shield; my heart TRUSTS in him, and I am helped. Psalm 28:7a

Kneeling alongside 20 or so other nervous but enthusiastic followers of Jesus is not new. But kneeling to pray in the fresh air of a major shopping area is new! Even the most seasoned Pastor (and that's me by the way) finds new things somewhat unnerving. But this was exhilirating. This was HEALING ON THE STREETS. Like many churches we find ourselves on

Is it possible that ‘sharing our faith’ is when we can believe for other people to receive from God a miracle of life. That’s why Healing on the Streets is so important – we really are ‘Sharing our faith’ because we believe God wants to heal and provide and set free and when we offer to pray for someone we are sharing with them the faith we have in God. You don’t have to wait to be part of a team like those who were in Northfield last week. You can share your faith today, or tomorrow at work. I know it’s stretching but it will help you grow!

the journey of discovering how we take what God has done within us and within our church to where it will be most effective, to where Jesus told us to take it. It really was amazing to have the opportunity to pray with people that were very open to us being there and who sat willingly to ask Jesus to heal them or someone they cared about deeply. Growing in faith can be a stretching experience, but expansion always comes out of stretching. When we talk about ‘sharing our faith’ we tend to think only of telling other people the good news message.
