www.ChristianDatingExpert.com Everyone That You Meet Isn’t To Be Your Spouse I just returned from a wonderful women’s retreat put on by my church. There were a lot of singles as well as married Christian women in attendance. Something that one of the speakers said really made since. She said, “If you hide your Christianity for another they will hide you for another.” If you have to hide your Christianity for anyone in order to get them to be with you, then you are setting yourself up to be put in positions in which you have to compromise the word of God. It is telling Jesus Christ that you are ashamed of HIS word.
Luke 9:26 King James Version (KJV) 26
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. Every man or woman that you meet isn’t to be your spouse. If you have to hide your Christianity from them, then they are not worthy of you and you should rejoice when they finally do leave you if you are already with them or better yet if you were never with them in the first place. As a Christian man or woman, you need to be patient and wait on the anointing of Jesus Christ. It just may be the will of Jesus Christ that you are single. We know, or if you don’t know, Jesus Christ doesn’t really care if we are single or married. Once we become baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit we are all of HIS children regardless of our marital status. What I believe that Jesus Christ is concerned with is whether or not we lean to our own understanding or if we wait on HIM with patience. If we wait, then no amount of mountains, oceans, or miles will be able to keep you apart. The absolute worst thing that you can do is to be ashamed of or hide your Christianity from someone in hopes of making them your mate. It is far better to be single and glorify Jesus in all that you do than to be with someone and have Jesus ashamed of you at the pearly gates.
