Missing Practices Desk Diva Needed On Saturdays it’s difficult for our staff to juggle from the class and to the front desk during practice times. We want to make sure we are giving our students 100% of our time. Yadah is seeking a willing mom, auntie or grandmother who would not mind volunteering on Saturdays from 9:00am1pm to help us with monitoring the front desk and helping to make sure our students are signing in and taking messages. A great customer service spirit and a kind heart are needed. This will hopefully be a part time staff position in the future. You’re welcome to sign up for Saturdays in our volunteer binder at the front desk.

IF we have not emphasized it enough, cheer is a team sport. This means when your child misses practice some part of the routine cannot be done fully. Most gyms will have a policy for missing practices. Yadah does have a policy in place for this. Please be mindful in planning vacations or other holidays so that your child will not miss practice. We understand illness and sickness can occur. It is tough to do so but is also unfair to the other 30+kids prepared and ready to practice. Thank you to the parents who are consistently bringing their students to practices.

The Coach is the Coach Coaches are trained to create a routine that will make your child’s team competitive. This sometimes means making decisions that you may not like. Your child’s coach knows what looks good in routines, what each child is capable of doing, what each competition requires to reach a high level score, and how to keep your child as safe as possible. Unless your child is in some type of danger, let the coach do their job.

A Few Housekeeping Things 1. Please make sure your students bring water bottles to practice. Pop tops are preferred. No open containers, no sodas, soft drinks, or food are allowed in the studio or gym area. This cuts down the cost of cups, germs, pests and cleaning up spills.

2. Please make sure you make us aware of any medical issues students may have and make sure that their files are updated with proper information. It’s for your student’s health and to help us in case of any medical emergencies. All information is kept confidential with the coaches and owners only.

3. Please remember that tuition is due before the 6th of the month all accounts showing a past due balance will be assessed a $20 late fee and will carry a balance owed until the account is brought current. Students are inactivated if no payment received by the 10th of the month. Please let Tangy or Angie know should you be unable to make your payment by the specified date, so that arrangements can be noted or updated on your student’s accounts. For families who would like to pay ahead or for parents whose accounts are current through November automatic payment options and discount are available. 4. The office phone and messages are only answered during business hours. Any messages left before we are open will be answered or returned during business hours. Fuel to the Fire READY: “Without wood, fire goes out…” - Proverbs 26:20a SET: Fall has always been a wonderful season for me. I love the leaves crunching and the beauty of the harvest sunsets. I enjoy sweatshirts and sweatpants and the warmth of an outdoor fire. In fact, campfires are one of my favorite things. I love the sound, the smell and the fellowship that usually comes with a good campfire. Recently, this short, yet powerful, verse from Proverbs caught my attention. Proverbs 26:20a says, “Without wood, fire goes out.” Don’t you just love how the Bible can be so simple, yet so profound? When I read this verse, I thought, “Duh! Of course a fire dies out without wood.” And then the Lord rumbled inside my heart. He seemed to ask, “What are you fueling your fire with? ” It was a great moment of conviction. To keep our fire for the Lord, we must continually fuel it with good things solid pieces of wood that will sustain our fire for Him. At times, my fuel is like a dead twig. Am I lying? Gossiping? Having negative thoughts? Am I trying to fuel the fire with activities and duties for God instead of just getting to know Him better? As an athlete or coach, am I fueling my fire with stats and scores instead of simply deepening my spiritual intimacy with the Lord through competition? Each of us has to face these and many other issues in our own lives. But what I find amazing about the Lord is that He wants us to give Him all of our firewood, no matter how rotten, wet or small it might be. With it, He will bless each of us with a fire to warm the cold places in our hearts, a peace to calm our souls, and a comfort to know that when we give Christ our all He will enlighten us through His grace and mercy. Today, may each of us give our fuel to the Lord, in whatever shape it may be and know that it will spark Gods great plan in our life! GO: 1. What is fueling your spiritual fire? 2. Are you concerned that your offerings aren’t good enough for God? 3. Read the parable of the talents in Matthew 25 (listed below). What does this say to you about your personal offering to God? How does He want you to use what He’s given you?
