A Historic Look At The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad Thirty-four years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was born on or about Oct. 7, 1897 in Sandersville, Georgia. The exact date of his birth remains unknown because record keeping in rural Georgia for the descendants of slaves was not kept current, according to historians and family members. Nevertheless, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said his birth took place some time in the first or second week of October in 1897 and set forth Oct. 7th as the anniversary date of his birth.

They (so-called Negroes) have been made so completely mentally dead by the enemy (white race) that the extra time is allowed. The time (six thousand years) ruled by the white race has been the worst of our known history; a time of complete trouble-making, war, bloodshed, and death of both the righteous and the wicked as never before. Therefore, the black nation and our God, Who is the Originator of the universe, have decided to remove the troublemakers from our planet Earth, as there is no way of the black nations getting along in peace with this wicked, grafted race known as the white race. They have flooded the nations with deceit and divisions. The time now has arrived for plain truth, wherein you shudder and call the truth a lie and call falsehood the truth. This is due to your being reared and taught by the deceiver! But your disbelief in the truth will not hinder its progress, for it is the Time of Truth and this Truth is in our favor.

The white race progressed under falsehood for the past four thousand years because it was given to them. Now, that time has expired and the time of truth and righteousness again will rule. The interval of six thousand years of evil and falsehood makes the average person think that the original black nation was never anything worthwhile. Consider the time!

by The Honorable Elijah Muhammad If you who disbelieve in the Truth would only consider the time in which we now live, you would bear witness that it is the very truth from your God that I am teaching. Just when should we expect Truth to be triumphant? The answer is. after the removal of falsehood. The Time referred to in this book is the time of the present world as Allah (God) has revealed it. This time covers a period of six thousand years. It began from the day that the first white person was made which was in the year nine thousand of our calendar history. This date is taken from the beginning of the present cycle of world history writings by 24 black scientists of which only 23 actually do the writing, and the 24th one acts as judge of the writings of the other 23. This takes place once every 25 thousand years. In this history is written everything that will come to pass for the next 25 thousand years. The original scriptures of the Bible and Holy Qur'an were taken from it and revealed by word of mouth and inspiration to prophets. We are now in the 16th thousand year of this cycle and have nine thousand, nine hundred and fifty six years to be finished before the next cycle. But we are not concerned with that which the present time holds for us. A thorough knowledge of the time and changes to be made is the important factor for you and me. The time given to the white race (Yakub's grafted people) to rule the world is between the ninth and fifteenth thousandth year of our cycle of 25 thousand years which is six thousand years.

Most surely man is in loss except those who believe and do good and enjoin on each other truth (Holy Qur'an 103:1-3). The time of the white race is divided into three periods of two thousand years each. The first two thousand years was the period between Yakub, the father and grafter of the white race, to the birth of Musa (Moses) to the birth of Isa (Jesus), the last Great Prophet to the white race. The third two thousand year period is from the birth of Isa (Jesus) to the coming of Allah, often referred to by the Christians as. "The coming of God, the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of Man", or the "second coming of Jesus." In Islam, it is referred to as the "Coming of the Great Madhi, the coming of Allah" to the birth of Muhammad.

FACTS on honey and cinnamon: It is found that a mix of honey and cinnamon cures most diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries in the world. Scientists today also note honey as a very effective medicine for all kinds of diseases. Honey can be used without side effects which is also a benefit. Today's science says that even though honey is sweet, when it is taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it doesn’t harm even diabetic patients. Researched by western scientists: HEART DISEASES: Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder; put it on toast instead of jelly and jam and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol and could potentially save one from a heart attack. Also, even if you have already had an attack, studies show you could be kept miles away from the next attack. Regular use of cinnamon honey strengthens the heartbeat. In America and Canada, various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as one ages the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged. Honey and cinnamon help revitalize the arteries and veins. ARTHRITIS: Arthritis patients can benefit by taking one cup of hot water with two tablespoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. When taken daily even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent study conducted at Copenhagen University in Denmark, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon honey and a half teaspoon cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week (out of

200 people treated) practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain -- and within a month, most all of the patients who couldn’t walk or move around because of arthritis now started walking without pain. BLADDER INFECTIONS: Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder. Who knew? CHOLESTEROL: When given two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of cinnamon powder mixed in 16 ounces of boiled water, it was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours. As mentioned before for arthritic patients, when taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol can be cured. According to information received in the Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol. COLDS: Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon of lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold and sinuses. And it’s delicious too! UPSET STOMACH: Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach aches and also clears stomach ulcers from its root. GAS: According to the studies done in India and Japan, it revealed that when honey is taken with cinnamon powder,

the stomach is relieved of gas. IMMUNE SYSTEM: Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacterial and viral attacks. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large dosages. Constant use of honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles (where DNA is stored) to fight bacterial and viral diseases. INDIGESTION: Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey taken before food is eaten, relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals. INFLUENZA: A scientist in Spain has proven that honey contains a “natural� ingredient which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu. LONGEVITY: Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, slows aging. Use four teaspoons of honey, one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and three cups of boiling water to make a tea. Drink 1/4 cup, three to four times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and fights aging. Life spans increase and even a 100-year-old will start performing the chores of a 20-year-old. RASPY OR SORE THROAT: When a throat has a tickle or is raspy, take one tablespoon of honey and sip it until gone. Repeat every three hours until throat is without symptoms. PIMPLES: Mix three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder into a paste. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it off the next morning with warm water. When done daily for two weeks, it removes all pimples from the root. SKIN INFECTIONS: Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected areas cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections. WEIGHT LOSS: Taken daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast and on an empty stomach and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinna-

mon powder in one cup of boiled water. When taken regularly, it reduces the weight with even the most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet! CANCER: Recent research in Japan and Australia has revealed that advanced cancer of the stomach and bones have been cured successfully. Patients suffering from these types of cancerous diseases should take one tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder three times a day for one month. FATIGUE: Recent studies have shown that the sugar content in honey is more helpful rather than being detrimental to the strength of the body. Senior citizens who take honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts are more alert and flexible. Dr. Milton (one of the researchers) said that a half tablespoon of honey taken in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder on a daily basis increases vitality. Results occur within a week. BAD BREATH: People in South America gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water the first thing in the morning so that their breath stays fresh throughout the day. HEARING LOSS: Daily dosages of morning and night honey and cinnamon powder, taken in equal parts restores hearing.

This recipe can be adjusted to make any quantity that you’d like. Made with 1/3 cup of each main ingredient, this can adjusted up and down for bigger or smaller batches.

How to Make:

Pain Relief Lotion Bars By Dwayne X-Guest writer Lotion bars are one of the favorite natural beauty recipes to make. They are a simple way to moisturize and nourish the skin and they can be easily customized for a variety of uses. This variation is one of my favorites, especially for after athletic training or on sore muscles. For women don’t use it during pregnancy, but it is great at other times. I also make a diluted version by using half as much menthol and essential oil and omitting the Arnica oil for use on the children when they get growing pains. These natural pain relief lotion bars smell excellent and work wonders on sore or tired muscles! Ingredients: 

1/3 cup coconut oil

1/3 cup shea butter, cocoa butter or mango butter

1/3 cup beeswax (can add an extra ounce or two if you want a thicker consistency, which leaves less lotion on the skin when used)

1 tablespoon of Menthol Crystals

10 drops Peppermint Essential Oil

1/2 tsp. Arnica Oil (optional)

Combine all ingredients into a quart size glass mason jar and carefully place this jar in a small saucepan of water on the stove. Turn the burner on and bring water to a low simmer. Stir ingredients constantly until they are melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the menthol crystals and stir until dissolved. Add essential oils and Amica Oil (optional) and stir until mixed. Carefully pour into molds or whatever you will be allowing the lotion bars to harden in. I used these silicon loaf molds, though any mold would work. Allow the lotion bars to cool completely before attempting to pop out of molds. These could be made in differently shaped molds or made in a square baking pan and then cut into actual bars. How to Use: Store in a cool or dry place for up to six months (I’ve even had some last as long as a year). To apply to skin: hold bar in hand and carefully rub on dry skin. The heat of the skin will transfer some of the lotion bar to the skin. I store my lotion bars on a small plate on my dresser and bathroom counter. Add more or less menthol for a more or less potent bar.

Making Homemade Natural Liquid Laundry Detergent (Environment safe) 

Making your own laundry soap is so easy and inexpensive that I encourage everyone to try it! Even if you aren’t concerned about the health benefits of switching to a more natural detergent, this recipe will save money and time! Once you have the ingredients, it takes about 20 minutes total to make five gallons of laundry soap, enough for months for most families! This was my cost breakdown: Total cost for ingredients was $4.30 per 1/2 cup load and one batch would wash 160 loads. That works out to a little less than $0.03 per load! By comparison, the cheapest I have found at any semi-natural store, bought detergents broken down to about $0.20 or $0.25 cents per load. A natural substitute at a savings of $0.17 cents or more per load! Ingredients for Homemade Natural Liquid Laundry Soap Borax (sodium borate) found as 20 Mule Team Borax on laundry aisle of most grocery stores  1 cup washing soda (sodium carbonate or soda ash) is available on the laundry aisle of most grocery stores  A bar of natural and organic bar soap like Dr. Bronners, or homemade soap Optional Ingredients: Sal Suds (new product from Dr. Bronners -- a good grease cutter)

Check your local bakery, Sam’s Club/Costco or grocery store for any leftover five gallon buckets with lids. They will give these to you for free. Grate the bar soap with a cheese grater or food processor. Put 4 to 4 1/2 gallons of warm or hot water into a five gallon bucket In a medium sized sauce pan, heat 2 quarts of water until simmering. Pour grated soap in and mix slowly until dissolved. Pour hot soap mixture into the five gallon bucket and stir well. Add optional ingredients, if you plan to and stir well. Put lid on tightly and keep in corner overnight. The next day, remove lid and stir again. Pour into empty gallon jars or bottles and store by washer. Use 1/2 to 1 cup per load, depending on how dirty the clothes are.

Important note: I have heard people express some concern with the use of Borax. Borax is an ingredient in most natural and eco-friendly cleaners, including Seventh Generation and Biokleen, so it is difficult to find any product without it. Though it can be toxic in high doses, especially if ingested, in the dilution used in this recipe, it appears to have little or no health risks. If you are concerned with the use of Borax and prefer not to use it, use an extra 1/2 cup of washing soda or 1 cup of baking soda in its place. You could also substitute 1 cup of Liquid Castile soap. Does Natural Laundry Soap Work? In my experience, this laundry soap works better than store bought detergents (which aren’t even actually soaps at all but mixtures of chemicals!). This soap doesn’t have a distinct smell like many conventional laundry soaps, though you can scent it with essential oils if you like. I use this as a pretreatment for stains also, and it works well when pretreated for up to one week.

CONTROLLING BLOOD PRESSURE W/ NO MEDS By Dwayne X-Guest writer

By making these ten lifestyle changes, you can lower your blood pressure and reduce your risk of heart disease. If you’ve been diagnosed with high blood pressure (a systolic pressure -- the top number -- of 140 or above or a diastolic pressure -- the bottom number -- of 90 or above), you might be worried about taking medication to bring your numbers down. Lifestyle plays an important role in treating your high blood pressure. If you successfully control your blood with a healthy lifestyle, you may avoid, delay or reduce the need for medication. Here are 9 lifestyle changes you can make to lower your blood pressure and keep it down.

1. Lose extra pounds and watch your waistline. Blood pressure often increases as weight increases. Losing just 10 pounds (4.5 kilograms) can help reduce your blood pressure. In general, the more weight you lose, the lower your blood pressure becomes. Losing weight also makes any blood pressure medications you're taking more effective. You and your doctor can determine your target weight and the best way to achieve it. Besides shedding pounds, you should also keep an eye on your waistline. Carrying too much weight around your waist can put you at greater risk of high blood pressure. In general:

Men are at risk if their waist measurement is greater than 40 inches (102 centimeters, or cm).

Women are at risk if their waist measurement is greater than 35 inches (89 cm).

Asian men are at risk if their waist measurement is greater than 36 inches (91 cm).

Asian women are at risk if their waist measurement is greater than 32 inches (81 cm).

2. Exercise regularly. Regular physical activity — at least 30 to 60 minutes most days of the week — can lower your blood pressure by 4 to 9 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg). And it doesn't take long to see a difference. If you haven't been active,

increasing your exercise level can lower your blood pressure within just a few weeks. If you have pre-hypertension — a systolic pressure between 120 and 139 or a diastolic pressure between 80 and 89 — exercise can help you to avoid developing full-blown hypertension. If you already have hypertension, regular physical activity can bring your blood pressure down to safer levels. Talk to your doctor about developing an exercise program. Your doctor can help determine whether you need any exercise restrictions. Even moderate activity for 10 minutes at a time, such as walking and light strength training, can help. But avoid being a "weekend warrior." Trying to squeeze all your exercise in on the weekends to make up for weekday inactivity isn't a good strategy. Those sudden bursts of activity could actually be risky.

3. Eat a healthy diet. Eating a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products and skimping on saturated fat and cholesterol, can lower your blood pressure by up to 14 mm Hg. This eating plan is known as the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet. It isn't easy to change your eating habits, but with these tips, you can adopt a healthy diet: 

Keep a food diary. Writing down what you eat, even for just a week, can shed surprising light on your true eating habits. Monitor what you eat, how much, when and why.

Consider boosting potassium. Potassium can lessen the effects of sodium on blood pressure. The best source of potassium is food, such as fruits and vegetables, rather than supplements. Talk to your doctor about the potassium level that's best for you.

 Be a smart shopper. Make a shopping list before heading to the supermarket to avoid picking up junk food. Read food labels when you shop and stick to a healthy eating plan when you're dining out.

 Cut yourself some slack. Although the DASH diet is a lifelong eating guide, it doesn't mean you have to cut out all of the foods you love. It's alright to treat yourself occasionally to foods you wouldn't find on a DASH diet menu, such as a candy bar or mashed potatoes with gravy.

4. Reduce sodium in your diet. Even a small reduction in the sodium in your diet can reduce blood pressure by 2 to 8 mm Hg. The recommendations for reducing sodium are:  Limit sodium to 2,300 milligrams (mg) a day or less.

 A lower sodium level — 1,500 mg a day or less — is appropriate for people 51 years of age or older, and individuals of any age who are African-American or who have high blood pressure, diabetes or chronic kidney disease.

 To decrease sodium in your diet, consider these tips:

 Track how much salt is in your diet. Keep a food diary to estimate how much sodium is in what you eat and drink each day.

 Read food labels. If possible, choose low-sodium alternatives of the foods and beverages you normally buy.

 Eat fewer processed foods. Potato chips, frozen dinners, bacon and processed lunch meats are high in sodium. Strive to quit eating pork altogether. The “other white meat” causes rheumatism, backaches, headaches, stomach aches, fever and carries the poisonous pork worm (trichina).

 Don't add salt. Just 1 level teaspoon of salt has 2,300 mg of sodium. Use herbs or spices, rather than salt, to add more flavor to your foods.

Ease into it. If you don't feel like you can drastically reduce the sodium in your diet suddenly, cut back gradually. Your palate will adjust over time.

5. Limit the amount of alcohol you drink.

Alcohol can be both good and bad for your health. In small amounts, it can potentially lower your blood pressure by 2 to 4 mm Hg. But that protective effect is lost if you drink too much alcohol — generally more than one drink a day for women and men older than age 65, or more than two a day for men age 65 and younger. Also, if you don't normally drink alcohol, you shouldn't start drinking as a way to lower your blood pressure. There's more potential harm than benefit to drinking alcohol. If you drink more than moderate amounts of it, alcohol can actually raise blood pressure by several points. It can also reduce the effectiveness of high blood pressure medications.

 Track your drinking patterns. Along with your food diary, keep an alcohol diary to track your true drinking patterns. One drink equals 12 ounces (355 milliliters, or mL) of beer, 5 ounces of wine (148 mL) or 1.5 ounces of 80-proof liquor (45 mL). If you're drinking more than the suggested amounts, cut back.

 Consider tapering off. If you're a heavy drinker, suddenly eliminating all alcohol can actually trigger severe high blood pressure for several days. So when you stop drinking, do it with the supervision of your doctor or taper off slowly, over one to two weeks

 Don't binge. Binge drinking — having four or more drinks in a row — can cause large and sudden increases in blood pressure, in addition to other health problems.

6. Avoid tobacco products and secondhand smoke.

On top of all the other dangers of smoking, the nicotine in tobacco products can raise your blood pressure by 10 mm Hg or more for up to an hour after you smoke. Smoking throughout the day means your blood pressure may remain constantly high. You should also avoid secondhand smoke. Inhaling smoke from others also puts you at risk of health problems, including high blood pressure and heart disease.

7. Cut back on caffeine. The role caffeine plays in blood pressure is still debatable. Drinking caffeinated beverages can temporarily cause a spike in your blood pressure, but it's unclear whether the effect is temporary or long lasting. To see if caffeine raises your blood pressure, check your pressure within 30 minutes of drinking a cup of coffee or another caffeinated beverage you regularly drink. If your blood pressure increases by five to 10 points, you may be sensitive to the blood pressure raising effects of caffeine.

8. Reduce your stress. Stress or anxiety can temporarily increase blood pressure. Take some time to think about what causes you to feel stressed, such as work, family, finances or illness. Once you know what's causing your stress, consider how you can eliminate or reduce stress. If you can't eliminate all of your stressors, you can at least cope with them in a healthier way. Take breaks for deep breathing exercises. Get a massage or take up yoga or meditation. Pray! If self-help doesn't work, seek out a professional for counseling.

9. Monitor your blood pressure at home and make regular doctor's appointments. If you have high blood pressure, you may need to monitor your blood pressure at home. Learning to self-monitor your blood pressure with an upper arm monitor can help motivate you. Talk to your doctor about home monitoring before getting started. The trick with this cleaner is the use of the lemongrass essential oil or the tea tree oil. Lemongrass happens to be a natural antibacterial (yes, natural… not harsh like commercial anti-bacteria's) and the tea tree oil has properties that are both anti-viral and antifungal. So here goes… INGREDIENTS: water distilled white vinegar green dish soap (not the color green – Eco-friendly) lemongrass essential oil or tea tree oil
