However, it is safe to say that the members voted resoundingly to bring women into the Club. The membership base immediately grew significantly in response to the rule change. A milestone was reached in 2004 when Susan Easterbrook was elected at the November AGM as the first female Board of Management member. Ms. Easterbrook served on the board in various capacities eventually becoming the first female President for the year 2009.
