“WEGLfest sprung from an idea that my staff had last year to bring a mix of indpendent artists on campus for a music festival. From there, we sought to connect the concert with a good cause, and Auburn’s “War on Hunger” was chosen. It will be held indoors, but we hope to bring the outdoors vibe inside with us.”

-Chandler Moore, WEGL 91.1 Station Manager

The War on Hunger Initiative "Auburn University is privileged to have been selected by the United Nations World Food Programme as its lead academic partner in a recently launched student “War on Hunger” campaign. In the true spirit of the Auburn Creed, this bold initiative reflects Auburn's commitment to creating a learning environment where intellectual discovery and social responsibility come together in pursuit of a sustainable world...a world that protects the natural environment and enhances human health and well-being for present and future generations. In preparing students to become global citizens through ambitious efforts like the “War on Hunger”, the university seeks to ground Auburn men and women in the knowledge that a quality education and, indeed a quality life, is not just a matter of the mind, but also of the heart." Weak Music for Thomas Red Mouth Band

“Formed in October of 2000, The guys in Weak Music for Thomas have actually never written any weak music. Instead, you get punk without the prefab, metal "Eric's music is a mixture of Ameriwithout the meatheads, noise without the upturned can roots music, particularly delta nose, prog without the pretense. It's shapeshifting, blues, and punk rock legends from intense and thoroughly spastic -- all the while retaining the Stooges to the Weirdos." a keen sense of being a good, fun rock band. WMFT is four guys armed with the typical rock-making stuff-guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard--who manage to meld together many styles, seamlessly flowing through the course of each single amazing, quirky song.”

Three Happenin Guys “Their quirky sounds and straight-up strange lyrics make an enjoyable mix. The mix of ambient instruments and acoustic guitar with electric leads and some fancy drumwork is a compatible mix.The strange ambient noises, awkward instruments and sometimes keyboard, or possibly organ, sounds contribute to the otherworldly feel the album carries. The music is strangely relaxing. ”

The Magnolia Sons “Take some Fleetwood Mac from the 70s, R.E.M. from the 80s, Goo Goo Dolls from the 90s and Bryan Adams from 00s and you've got an idea where our sound is coming from.” Members: William Ferguson (Vocals, Guitar) Darrell Ray Miller Jr. (Bass, Vocals) Austin Aguirre (Drums, Vocals) Kevin Lambert (Guitar, Keys, Vocals)

Tony Brook "Tony Brook is one of Alabama's great gifts...a world-class singer-songwriter who deftly captures a thought or emotion and expresses it in a way everyone can embrace. Tony Brook Rocks!!!" The Two Time National Award Winning Wild Man Steve
