By: JD DeHart I dreamed of you and me one hundred years ago when our skin was still pebbled, when you still roamed the earth with clawed feet and were still related to the animal. Your footprints were showcased emerging from the soup. I dreamed I locked you out and we had multiple front doors so I could not remember how to let you back in. I woke to the sound of the doorbell but it was not really ringing and nobody was there at all.
