The Making of After 10 volumes of audio albums and singing to audiences of different kinds who have different tastes of music, we thought why not a video album. In concert venues people often ask us “Do you guys have a video CD?”, and this drove us with confidence to think about a new video album. We have a list 50+ songs that we have sung on stages and have recorded a few of them, since 2008. Justus listed some of his favorite from the collection, and added a few new numbers. There will always be a balance of 50-50 Tamil and English songs and new and old ones in all our earlier albums, so we made it sure this time we will have the same balance. The songs that topped the list are Ummai Padatha, Swing Down, Kalvaary Maa, I'll Fly Away. We also decided to do a few Hymn versions, so came in 'Satisfied-Hallelujah'. The theme of this song is ‘Iam saved through His blood, so Iam satisfied’ . Justus had a hook statement 'All I need is Jesus, and all I need is his love', and thought how it would be to combine this concept with 'Satisfaction'. And 'all I have is Jesus, so I am Satisfied', thus came the song 'I am Satisfied', which became the title of the DVD. All this happened before audio recording. The plan was ready, and we started to pray for the project. In five months time the music tracks were done, and the group finished their vocal recordings. Chordiels Music always loves to have guests in their albums and on stages. This time we decided to call Harmonics, Mr. Joshua Chelliah and the team gladly accepted the invite to record two songs 'Mounamai Irukathey' and 'One Life'. We were also reminded of one of our favorite hymns 'It is well with my soul', and the one voice that could do justice for this song would be none other than Ms. Nina Menezes. Justus took the call to invite Nina, and fortunately she was visiting India between Jan and June 2016. Whole heartedly she accepted to record for this album. So grateful that God executes what He has planned.

Satisfied Audio recording was done, and the video crew was ready for the shoot. We spent five days with our visual engineer Mr. Calif Gokul, who did an excellent job in making the video a complete album. We thanked God from our heart for His greater blessings, and we are happy to be part of His plans.

Special Thanks to Prof. Winfred Chelliah for giving permission to shoot at the Egmore Wesley Church, Chennai; Mr. Irudhayaraj for making logistics arrangements for the camera crew; Mr. Jacob for giving permission to shoot at the Jacob Garden, Padapai, Chennai.

The DVD was released with prayers by Dr. Paul Gupta, chief pastor of New Calvary Church and the Principal of Hindustan Bible Institute, Chennai. Mr. Augustine Paul, leader of Octet Cantabile, received the first copy of the DVD. We pray that the songs in this DVD reach many homes and hearts bringing people closer to God.

Sincere thanks to all the song writers who gave these wonderful songs for us to sing, record and praise His Name forever. Thanks to Handel Studios for DVD authoring, Mr. Rabidoss, Backia printers for cover printing, Mr. Nirmal for taking care of DVD stampering. We thank all our family members, friends who support us through their sincere prayers and love.

The DVD album can be purchased from www.store.chordiels.com. Digital downloads of the s o n g s c a n b e p u r c h a s e d a t www.chordiels.com/digital_downloads.php

Hope this DVD will be one of the good collections in your music library. Be blessed in His peace and be satisfied in His love, forever.

Never

Stop Trying By Dr. S. Justus

Did I tell you that I was a stammerer during my primary school days. I can't even start a sentence or complete a sentence even for a normal conversation with my Dad and Mom, leave alone friends. This was my everyday ordeal. But I can sing without any problem. Singing at school functions, Church carols, prayer meetings, anywhere I can sing, but not a single word to speak. I was under constant fear that if someone would speak to me, and I would want to answer them, which I couldn't. I never missed a chance to sing, and after singing I would become speechless until I leave the place and get to a safer, solitary comfort zone. My parents knew my pain, my teachers knew the difficulty I would face in answering them, my friends knew this but they were kind and helpful. But still I was not happy. Then one day, my Dad and Mom were trying to teach me how to fight this stammering. They told me, “Son, fight back, be bold, get strong, and speak”. I knew was strong in mind, bold enough to stand on a stage, but to speak? No. ‘Impossible’ was the answer I gave them. Then they told me “Ok Son, this time, take your Bible read loud. Understand or not, read the Gospel and Psalms loud so that we all could hear you.” I said “wow, that's gonna be a good idea”. Every morning since then, I started to read my Bible loudly so that all at home could hear me. In the beginning, yes, I was stammering more than before, but the loudness in me hearing my own voice made me to fight back. The Words indeed helped me to fight back the wall that obstructed me from speaking. I could find the difference. When I was in ninth grade, still at school, I didn't know how it was like stammering. I fought the barrier with the strong hammer, the Word of God. Everyone of us have that strong hammer in our hands and hearts. What we really miss is the perseverance to use it to break the barriers. How strong the wall would be, but do remember the Word that we have in our hearts, and in our mouths is stronger than the wall that is ahead of us. Only thing we need to do is to use the hammer consistently. Some of the strong walls that we come across in our lives are anger, jealous, lust, anxiety, lovelessness, hatred, pride, lie, and the list can grow without end. These are sins that God hates and doesn’t wants us to live in it. The major problem we will often have is, we are not able to identify or understand that we are living within these walls, and these walls will kill us spiritually sometime. The moment we realize that these are fatal walls of destructions, we are supposed to raise our hands with the unfailing Words of wisdom from God. Use the Word against these sins, and use it persistently and don't give up, until the walls are down.

David had some small stones to fight the great Goliath. Samson had his hands tied up to two pillars. Moses had a staff while standing before the Red Sea with his gang of Israelites. Jesus had nothing in His hands to fight back Satan. But they all had the Word of God, His law, His commands and promises in their hearts. One sling of the stone, one pulling down of the pillars, one rising of the staff, with one Word against the enemy. Goliath was beheaded, Samson killed more people than while he was alive, Moses lead the great Exodus of God's people towards the Holy Land, and Satan fled from the presence of Jesus.

All these and many more leaders and personalities in the Bible knew this quite well. No never give up fighting the enemy with the Word of God. God honors the persistent heart. And He also loves those that fight with His Word and His strength. You know, after all these years, I teach computer science and music, with the command that God has set me free from the clutches of sins and the walls I was dwelling in. I learnt to fight back with hammer to break walls, in His strength and wisdom. Let's practice it from today, and no never give up.

Never Give Up Sometimes life is against you You see it turning...... From dark to darker Wishing it's just a nightmare And soon you'll wake up...... Wishing it's just the night And soon there will be light...... But you realize you were wrong It's all very true It's neither a nightmare nor the night It's just things are no longer right...... In a corner you sit...... Crying blood instead of tears Waiting sadly alone In that little seat of yours Thinking that that would change the world...... Unfortunately that's not true The world just won't change for you The world isn't yours....And isn't free for you If you want it......Go for it Stand up and think quick Try to change it.....to suit you Try to fix it.......and make it yours If you fail......Try once more Never give up......Never lose hope And remember it's your goal...... Things don't change from the first shot And light was invented After a thousand try or more -by Rudy Hossam http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/never-give-up-18/

Keep Running by Handel J Jonathan

This topic relates to our everyday Christian life. In the cartoon Tom and Jerry, Tom always tries to catch the little mouse Jerry, but it fails. Because, Jerry is never tired of running to escape from Tom. In the same way, we want to be good and a child of God, but satan keeps chasing us with lots of distraction. He has given us video games, tablets, mobile apps and games to distract us and spend all our time in those games. Satan wants us to be away from God. But it is our duty to run away from Satan's distractions and spend more time in reading Bible, singing, studying, doing good things and helping others. We can be strong by increasing our good works and spending more time in prayer. In this way we can be away from Satan and closer to God. So keep running, and don't give up.

Today life gave you another slap but don't give it up Throwing your towel in the ring for things gone wrong, For words that sting 'cos there must be another way you will see it in the light of another day When everything seems sour, Not in your favour Look around until you find better flavour. So, don't just give but live it up pick up the pieces, be tough grind your teeth and turn another cheek don't give it up, That's exactly what they seek. It's too easy to walk away Quitter never wins so you should better stay Look challenges straight in the eye Don't say yet the last good-bye Fight like an animal in a trap But don't give it up. -by Z. 'Don't give up when you're down; Let the wondrous love of Jesus keep your feet back on the ground You can overcome your trials trade your frown in for a smile. Don't give up when you're down .’ It is easier to start than to complete .There may be blocks at every corner preventing one from progressing but persistence shows us the way around it or to Jump over it .There is also another possibility … the blocks disappear!. Consider the triple jumper or the obstacle race athlete who has to surmount a hurdle one after the other .the focus , the persistence and the effort gives him the prize at the end of the ordeal . Man struggles day-in and day-out towards the fulfillment of his hopes and dreams, An old saying “If there is no struggle there is no progress.” Might have conveyed this statement more than 150 years ago, yet it's a theme that has been evident since the dawn of time. Organisms, both small and large, have always fought for survival, struggling for progress across all spectrums of life.

BEETHOVEN, the master classical pianist and one of the greatest wonders in the world of music was deaf himself for the last 25 years of his life. He started showing his incredible genius at a very early age. Beethoven's work has and will forever remain one of the finest in the world of classical music. He continued with his incredible work and compositions even through his later stages of debilitating deafness. That really takes the work of the Lord to create such incredible music without the function of being able to hear them properly! When you are thinking of giving up just look back on how far you have come .To persevere believing in what we do will definitely take us forward progressively . We need to press on toward the goal Paul says in Phil 3 :12-13, Not that I have already obtained all this or have already made perfect but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me . We need to move on, persevere in our dreams and goals. For we are His masterpiece and it is amazing to realize that God has a perfect niche for each one of us in His master plan .Am I fulfilling all that the master has designed me to be. He who has called me will also equip me. Does failure prevent us from taking the next rung up the ladder? Does being burnt once make us shy away from the flame? Paul in Philippians encourages us to forget what is behind and to press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ. Fanny Crossby 'The Queen of Gospel Hymnody' was born in 1820 with vision but was blinded when she was six weeks old due to improper medical treatment. She never found her blindness a handicap but rather a blessing. Early in life she began memorizing the bible and could repeat from memory the Pentateuch, Gospels, Psalms, Proverbs and few other books, served as a teacher in the New York Institution for the blind teaching language and history.

Dr Anita Chelliah is a woman of faith with a passion for evangelism She shares the gospel to all groups of people. A lover of music she sings with the St Andrew's Church choir where she leads worship and also serves as a musician. Anita is part of a trio ‘Ambassadors for Christ’ with her husband Joshua Chelliah and son Rajan Chelliah. She is also a full-time medical practitioner.

A fine soprano, an accomplished player of the guitar, harp, piano and organ and also a well versed classical musician she found her mission of writing hymnal texts at the age of 45. For a period of 50 years she has written between 8000 to 9000 gospel hymn texts, more than any other known hymn writer. Aunt Fanny always had a special love for children and worked with derelicts considering her mission work as the most wonderful work in the world as it gives such an opportunity for love. 'Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.' Gal 6:9 With God there is no obstacle. When we ask him He gives wisdom and that too to all, generously without finding fault (James 1:5). No problem, worry or discouragement should pin us down, for we serve a mighty God, awesome and powerful who strengthens us so we can do all things. He fills us with His Spirit who guides us every step as we submit wholly into His hands The task undertaken may seem huge and overwhelming but remember 'He gives strength to the weary, and increases the power of the weak.' Isaiah 40:29 'Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.' 2Cor 4:16-18 So let us press on toward the goal for He who called us is faithful and will do it .

‘Classic Hymns’ is the idea of Mr. Binu Thomas. Binu is a man of managing big things, and is lover of Gospel Hymns in all its style, harmony and lyrics. “QUIT”, “That's All…”, “I am fed up” ---- Every one of us would have landed up in a state, where our mindset would be any of these. These words speak of the common emotion -“Give up”. This article is not advocating the mantra “Never Give Up”. Rather an optimistic look over that strand is analysed over here. Eventually, the state of mind “Give Up” or “Never Give Up” is a course of action which you take effortlessly. Life has never been a bed of roses always, for anyone on this world. Every single soul should experience success-failure, happiness-sadness, fortune-misfortune, luck-ii-luck, pleasure-pain combo throughout their life. That's the way the human life has been encoded. If anybody quotes that “Mr./Ms. X…., the very popular, famous, richest, most cherished, successful person in the field of sports/business/film/music etc. has been only happy all through their life”, then it's a 100% untrue statement. Yeah, for anyone in today's insta-reach-society by various digital mechanisms like WhasApp, Twitter, Facebook etc., though you decide to keep quiet, trouble lines-up to trouble you, in a myriad of ways. Your tries may end up void

The “Give Up” is a stand we take when the situations are not on our side. We could not control any parameter so as to come out of the state or to make it happen the way we wish it to happen. A little bit of introspection might help you to take a different look on the same situation. Suppose you have tried for a job over several attempts. Now you are in a situation that you badly need a job or you have decided to give up. Now let me suggest you to ask certain questions. 1. Were there anybody before me who were in the same state of mind? 2. If yes (it would be yes, mostly), what they have done to get a job a. They have equipped themselves with more skill and talent. If they are poor in communication/soft skills, improve that. b. If there is a demand in some other market, better try for them. c. Relax some of the hard limits in their job search j o u r n e y like job location, timing, designation etc. On a keen watch, it can be noted, mostly all of them would have come out of the bad situation got a job eventually. There will have been some people who have not got their job --- A sad truth is that they form the “Give Up” community. Those who were perseverant, with “Never Give Up” attitude would have achieved what they have targeted. Also, ask a question what you naturally want in life, from that situation. Is it like “You need it badly for your life's vision or not.” This supplies you with all the might to hold on the “NGU” attitude. Yeah, holding blindly onto a low-key motive or to a goal that is unrelated to your life's vision is of complete energy-waste or no use at all. After you achieve such a desire, what are you going to do with that? Things which are pinned with ego-based triggers, selfish motives, personal/hidden agenda hooked ones, might add up to this list. Certainly, even though you maintain the “NGU” approach and achieve them out of your untiring efforts, they will eventually prove you to be dumbos-only, as well as pull you down to the dust, in terms of character, good-will and reputation. Though sometimes they are oblivious, a person could not deny the facts on a self, personal confession. Also, hold on the energy for NGU attitude and spend them on constructive causes. Otherwise, sticking to it always might be too much consuming and at some point of time, NGU attitude might have to be given up. When to hold on to the NGU approach is discussed so far. I hope atleast a little bit of clues you can get to hold it or not? The next trivial question how to keep up the NGU attitude. At all the GU situations, the person concerned in very weak mentally, physically, emotionally, socially and sometimes spiritually. But don't lose hope. There is a way, rather an easy one to tackle. OK…I have decided to survive this bad situation. I should not give up. Where do I get the strength for that? God is your refuge. Derive strength from Him. He is there to help us. Try this one, secondly.

There are two perspectives in anything the process and the product. If the process is not motivating you, get the motivation from the product. Else, if the product is not motivating you, get the motivation from the process. Made very simple..Right? I will put it with an example. We know on this earth, carrying a baby for 10 full months in the womb is one of the most challenging, risky, tedious, painful processes. It's rare to have a differing opinion on this statement. Yeah, that attaches the motherhood with the pride it holds ever in the history of the mankind in any culture and region. But is that done as simple as that? Amidst of all the external that's forcing a mother to carry the foetus in her womb like social demand, family's desire, health condition etc. the one and only motivating factor will be the “Innocent-fresh-my-baby-in-Hand” scene that she could visualise right from the time of conceiving. How my baby will look like who will she resemble, what colour will she be, many such dreams about the baby keep a motherhood alive in a mother. The product is giving the motivation for NGU, though the process is a tedious one. You are building your character, the practice which strengthens your nature. Which could tell you like you are a strong person, wilful person, hard-core person, who does not leave things, bold person, standing person etc. for your description. This trait once cultivated, when practiced regularly will give you enormous power in life. Just like muscles grow strong out of regular exercises, so do the mind-set grows strong out of certain virtuous practices and one such predominant practice is the NGU attitude. Consider the current situation as a live assignment for testing/practicing the NGU attitude and score yourself as per the course of actions you adhere to. A smiling, joyful, bubbly and whole hearted execution of the processes, inspite of strongly discouraging end-result, gets definitely high reward on the score cards. An eye over the short-term result, current process result is less preferred over a big picture or long term process of building your own self. This character can be used in your life's process from the small things to the bigger ones. Character Shaping is done. Your adjective description is conditioned thoroughly, step by step. You can never get such experiences unless you submit yourself to undergo them. I can very well read your mind now. “I know that I am going to fail for sure. Then how can I submit?.” Just hold on. What are you looking at right now? That particular project you are concerned with. There lies the slip. See the big picture. See this as an assignment given to you to practice NGU. With this as the objective, take the assignment and do it with your stylish touch. That's all. In the end, in this assignment you have scored appreciably well, and don't see the result of the project.” Your attempts can fail but don't fail to attempt” is the take away. Maybe luckily, by His grace, that project could succeed too. Who knows? Until you try you never know the end result.

Don't Give Up on

Jesus

But don’t give up. No, rather “take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded” (2 Chronicles 15:7). Don’t give up when that familiar sin, still crouching at your door after all these years, pounces again with temptation. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13) Don’t give up when you feel that deep soul weariness from long battles with persistent weaknesses. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthians 12:8–9) Don’t give up when your long asked-and-sought-and-knocked-for prayers have not yet been answered. And he told them [the parable of the persistent widow] to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. (Luke 18:1) Don’t give up when the devil’s fiery darts of doubt find flesh and make you reel. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day…in all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one. (Ephesians 6:13,16) Don’t give up when the fragmenting effect of multiple pressures seems relentless. “But as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: by great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, hunger . . . (2 Corinthians 6:4–5) Don’t give up when the field the Lord has assigned you to is hard and the harvest does not look promising. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9) Don’t give up when you labor in obscurity and you wonder how much it even matters. Your Father who sees in secret will reward you. (Matthew 6:4) Don’t give up when your reputation is damaged because you are trying to be faithful to Jesus. Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. (Matthew 5:11) Don’t give up when waiting on God seems endless. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:30–31) Don’t give up when you have failed in sin. Don’t wallow. Repent (again), get your eyes off yourself (again), and fix your eyes on Jesus (again). Get up and get back in the fight. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9); if we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself. (2 Timothy 2:13)
