Choclo Project - Collection 2014

COllECTORS EdiTiON since choclo Project started in 2009, we have been contacted by many artists keen to participate and donate their talent to the project. as a result, we created the collectorâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s edition. We allow the artists to choose the childrenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s drawing that touches them most, and they then use this as inspiration for their own artwork which becomes the graphics on these special pieces.

About

We can only be truly creative when we are free. This is why creative juices seem to run so freely when we travel. This winter we decided to test this theory by spending 2 months in Peru getting inspired not only by the children, but also by the rich textile tradition, the colorful culture, the vibrant markets and the diverse landscape and imagery of Peru. During this two month period we hosted multiple creative workshops with the kids at the Mundo de Niños, allowing us to better understand their situation and teach them new artistic techniques, allowing them to grow on a creative level. Together we managed to create some truly inspiring artworks. During our stay we also had the honour of spending time with the local farmers of Peru’s finest organic cotton. We learned about the ancient techniques they use, enabling them to avoid the need for harmful chemicals, thereby reducing environmental pollution, avoiding harm to workers, and protecting the land’s productivity.
