March 8, 2018 To whom it may concern, Greetings! My name is Chloé Arzuaga and I am very excited to be applying for the Study Abroad internship program in Dublin, Ireland for the 2018 Fall Semester. I am currently finishing up my Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art with a concentration in Graphic Design and minor in Film Studies at The College at Brockport, SUNY, as a fourth-year student. I am also in the Delta College program—a general education learning community which focuses on student’s individual skills and professional goals. As I finish up my college career, I want to make sure that I get the most out of it, since I know that I may not have access to the resources I have now once I graduate. For this internship experience, my main objective is to develop my skills as a designer through working closely with individuals already working in the field of Graphic Design. As you can see from my résumé, I’ve lived and worked in a variety of locations. Having studied fine art at the famous LaGuardia High School in Manhattan, New York, I was inspired to push my creative potential to the limit. This goal took me to The College at Brockport, where I discovered a world beyond the bustling metropolis of New York City—one that is quaint, but just as inspiring. I am lucky enough to have been under the guidance of some excellent art educators here at Brockport, and I can say with confidence that I have developed my identity and skills to such a degree that I believe it is time to take the next big step. For me, that next step is Dublin. Having an older sibling who studied in Denmark during his college years, I have seen what an experience like studying abroad can do for a motivated young mind. As a young and eager hands-on artist with a wide range of artistic and creative abilities as well as general professional skills which I have developed through a number of work experiences, I believe I can only benefit any organization which relates to design. That being said, I am certain that while I will bring new ideas to any group, I will also be constantly learning through being excited and open to new opportunities. I am especially excited to be surrounded in the beautifully rich history, culture, and natural beauty of Ireland—one of the few parts of Europe I have yet to see and have dreamt of experiencing—as I pursue my best self through this program. I look forward to discussing this opportunity with you. Above I have provided my professional email, but it would probably be best for you to contact me through my student email address, carzu1@brockport.edu, or by my personal phone at (347)466-2791. Additionally, you can contact me through my website, provided above, where you can also find my portfolio. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely,

Chloé Arzuaga
