甘 Gan Lane Design

Land Use Buildings Open Space Blocks Activities Culture

Analysis

This is the old quarter where lack of comprehensive attraction ,so even it has important and historic significance, such as traditional dishes and industries ,people seldom walk into the blocks and only hang around outside space. As the result, people gradually forget this special place. The cultural value are going to disappear if we still ignore this phenomenon.

Vision

Combine the traditional dishes and its culture to development a wonderful and full of educational sightseeing hotpot in West Central district

Design There are five distinguished lanes in this area. We try to plan the lanes to let them more linked to outsides and also improve its mobility. As the result, visitors can easily hang around the site and experience its precious, traditional and distinctive local industries, historic building , streets ,etc.

BASIC DESIGN (1)

益生郡 Yi Sheng Jiun-Street Design

Shiu Shih Eco-Park

The central park in the site is mainly used to be a disaster prevention park and other space is used to be the eco-parks in principle. Preserve the original plants and combine with the current park facilities for the use of recreation, education and the ecological protection.

Landscape House

The construction of high-floor landscape residential community in the west side of the central park can not only arrange relocate households affected by the change plan but also accommodate the added population in the future.

Disaster Prevention Park

Eco-Community

According to the previous investigation and analysis, the residential houses in the eastsouth side are too old and broken which will have many disaster and safe problems, so they will be consider demolished and build the eco-community in the future. This not only can react the green finger and the green corridor but also take the flooding potential analysis into consideration. In the eco-community , it is not used for high-density residential use, but with a lower density and with high green coverage rate of ecological residential use.

“Loose Tea” Industrial Transformation Plan

Introduction Masson's pine

Loose tea is made from the Masson's pine ,a species of pine, native to Taiwan, and a wide area of central and southern China, including Hong Kong, and northern Vietnam, growing at low to moderate altitudes, mostly below 1,500 m but rarely up to 2,000 m altitude

Use

• The species is a common trees in plantation forestry for replacing or compensating of the loss of the natural forest in southern China. Chinese rosin is obtained mainly from the turpentine of this pine (Pinus massoniana) and slash pine (P. elliottii). • Logs are mainly used to make pulp for paper industry. • Leaves are used to give special smoke flavor to a local black tea, such as Lapsang souchong of Fujian province.

Site Analysis • Elevation:Altitude 200-800 m , Sun-facing side of the mountain300-1000 m . • Slope:Masson`s pine ≤35%;Tea plantation ≤ 20% • Aspect of slope:Masson`s pine is suitable for the sunny side while Loose tea is suitable for the shadow side. Besides, Masson`s pine provides its shadow for the Loose tea. As the result, we choose the place where suitable for the Masson`s pine, south and west.
