A celebration of Mozart at Chilliwack Alliance The Fraser Valley Philharmonic Society is ready to present a 2011 Mostly Mozart celebration on Saturday June 11 at the Chilliwack Alliance Church. Queen’s Silver Jubilee Medal recipient Maestro Leonard Camplin, will once again lead Orchestra Philomusica in an exciting program of classical works. pany Chilliwack soprano Rebecca Paulding, in operatic arias by Mozart and Puccini. “I’m very honoured to be a part of this Mozart celebration,” said Paulding. “I was born and raised in Chilliwack and I love having the opportunity to come back home and collaborate with so many gifted artists with this performance.” Paulding began her vocal studies with instructor Paula Quick at the Chilliwack Academy of Music, and later studied with Ingrid Suderman

at Trinity Western University and with Joanne Hounsell at the Victoria Conservatory. She’s the 2009 B.C. provincial winner of Senior Classical Voice, as well as the Silver Medalist for Grade 10 RCM Voice. She’ll be singing arias with gusto in the Alliance Church, which she calls a “fantastic” venue. “I’m really looking forward to singing the selections from these very different composers who are equally beautiful and expressive in

their own right,” she said. Also gracing the stage solo will be internationally renowned violinist, Nancy DiNovo, with Mozart’s Violin Concerto no. 3 K216. The award-winning Chilliwack Women’s Chorus will also make an appearance, performing Mozart’s Ave verum corpus K618 and the opening movement of Vivaldi’s Gloria. Nancy DiNovo is a former member of the St. Louis, Toronto and Boston Symphony Orchestras and
