ATB BANK DESIGN COMPETITON

OVERVIEW

The ATB bank design competition involved designing a bank for ATB. The bank designed for this competition is based on the concept word, wonder. Wonder is a feeling that should be conveyed when walking in to a new space. The design for this building was designed angled due to Jasper Ave’s angled road. The building is made of aluminum panels, glass and brick. Brick was kept in the building to keep the local historical look from the other buildings near the site.

G1 MULTI-FAMILY HOUSE OVERVIEW The CISCO interdisciplinary competition is an event that required a group to develop a smart building suitable for 4-6 families. The final design for the building resulted in a townhouse building suitable for 4 families. The exterior finishes of the building are cement fibre and sustainable wood siding. The interior is simple and made of sustainable or recycled materials. The building is designed based on the solar pathway, allowing the building to reduce the amount of light usage yearly due to natural light. The building is also net-zero and has the ability to become off-grid in an unpleasant circumstance.
