CHICKASHA RESIDENTS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE $50 RESIDENTIAL INCENTIVE AGREEMENT The Chickasha City Council recently approved a Residential Economic Development Incentive, which gives residents the ability to receive $50 from the City. Eligibility requirements for the incentive must be met. First, the resident must live within the municipal boundaries of Chickasha and have an active residential utility account for water, sewer or solid waste. When there are multiple accounts under the same name, exempting irrigation meters, these accounts will be assumed to be rentals and the incentive will be made to the resident listed on the rental agreement for the address. If there is no rental agreement, the property will be considered a commercial account and no check will be issued. Last, residents must agree to spend the incentive only at business facilities located within the municipal boundaries of Chickasha. The use of the incentive for online purchasing is strictly prohibited. To receive the incentive, residents must complete the Residential Economic Development Incentive form, which is being mailed to each household and is also available to download at chickasha.org/50. The form must be signed in front of a notary. For a list of local notaries, visit chickasha.org/notary. Completed, notarized forms may be submitted in person or by mail to the Utility Billing Department at City Hall, located at 117 N. 4th St. Upon verification of the agreement and account, a check will be mailed to the eligible account holder within 10 business days.

Celebrate Independence Day at Shannon Springs Park! Fireworks will begin at dusk. Thank you to our community partners for providing this f i r e w o r k s d i s p l a y e a c h y e a r. Please remember to practice social distancing and sanitize your hands frequently.

Grass and Weeds • As a reminder, it’s that time of year when grass and weeds can quickly get out of hand. If you get a courtesy or violation letter from Code Compliance and need additional time to mow your lawn, please reach out to Code Compliance at (405) 222-6059 or (405) 222-6099 to request additional time. If you need assistance mowing your lawn, contact Code Compliance and we can work to connect you with volunteers who can help. • It is a violation of city ordinance to blow grass clippings into the street. This is due to safety concerns and flooding when the clippings get into storm drains. Please be mindful to keep your grass clippings out of the street.

PARKS & RECREATION Parks crews have been working to make improvements at the Spring House at Shannon Springs Park. They recently gave it a fresh coat of paint and cleaned up the spring pool. The Splash Pads at Shannon Springs and Washita Valley are open for the summer! Splash Pads are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. We would like to thank Victory Church for their work cleaning at the park! They also painted new parking lines and painted the playground equipment. You can take in a baseball or softball game nearly every weekend at the Chickasha Sports Complex. Upcoming tournaments include: • July 9-10: FFS Events Softball Tournament • July 13-18: OK Kids Coach Pitch Regional • July 17-19: BCM Softball Tournament • July 24-26: Willy Boy Productions Softball tournament • July 31-August 2: Big Fire Showcases Softball Tournament • August 8: Kevin Bristow Charity Slow Pitch Tournament • August 28-30: Big Fire Showcases Softball Tournament League games are also ongoing during the week. There will be a 1.5 mile course and a 3 mile course. These courses will open to the public in mid-to-late July.
