Dedication The time has come for farewell. In this event, we will leave some of our friends and teachers. Indeed, this is the time for graduation. Graduation is not just for farewell, but also a mark of our success. It is a result of surviving the difficulties of elementary education. Behind this success are the people who stand as our strengths. If it weren’t for their support, we would not be here and to that we would like to dedicate our success to. To our parents who supported us end lessly, especially in the times wherein we all wanted to give up. You became our wall and the inspiration we needed in life. Your love and care has nurtured us into becoming who we are now. To the Dominican family, who served as our second home; the people whom we shared our laughter with and taught us the true meaning of love and friendship. You are the ones who have seen our other side. You have become a part of our life, the memories we shared together will never be forgotten. And of course, we offer this to Almighty God, to whom we look up to at a time of loss. It was in his grace that we found our hidden strength past our vulnerabilities. Again, we give our thanks to all of you for supporting us and watching us grow as students.

On the day of graduation, we all still remember the first day of the school year as if it was just yesterday. It was when we only felt nothing but excitement as Ms. Analyn Grace Royo, our beloved adviser, warmly welcomed us in the school year 2015-2016 as students of Grade 6 – St. Catherine de Ricci. We learned so much and had so much fun together as a section, which made the year very memorable. The classroom of St. Catherine de Ricci always had a happy, light, and educational atmosphere, which was suitable for our learning needs. There was never a dull day for us, as everyone was very active and cheerful in each and every day of the school year. Though sometimes we become too noisy and playful, we always make it up for it by being very compassionate and kind to everyone around us and by being energetic at any time of the day. We would always see the positivity in everything, and always remained hopeful in difficult situations. We’re also considered as competitive when it comes to school competitions. As one section, we always had each other’s backs and we’re very supportive of each other. We would always want to win, and we would always do it together cooperatively. Win or lose, we always stay humble and grateful. Though we are just classmates, we all consider ourselves as one family. St. Catherine de Ricci is a family of 38 cheerful, kind daughters and our supportive mother, Ms. Analyn Royo. As a family, we all love each other and we will never forget each other and everything we’ve been through.

As we entered the doors of St Margaret of Hungary, everyone was excited and psyched to see all the familiar faces of our friends. On top of it all, we were all extra happy to see Mrs. Melinda Jose as our adviser. Everyone looked forward to the new school year because we knew it was going to be a good year ahead of us. As expected, it was a good year -- a year we would surely treasure not only because it’s our last year as grade school students but also because of the memories we have shared as a section. St Margaret of Hungary was a section that never runs out of laughter. The students of St. Margaret of Hungary were known as “maingay pero malambing”. It was always a fun lecture in every class because the students, together with the teacher, would always manage to make every class enjoyable. During breaks, every group of friends in our class would have our own fun like playing killer killer or laughing at our own jokes. Despite the noisiness, the students are very appreciative and loving to their teachers and fellow classmates. During the birthdays of our teachers and friends, we would always have a surprise for them. We would never forget the memories we shared together especially the time we spent during our fieldtrip. It was an experience that was very memorable for all of us because it brought us closer together as a section. On our way to Lola Corazon and Paradise Ranch, we made the bus ride enjoyable by playing the “race to 20” game. We had pictorials with all our wacky and witty pose ideas. We had so much fun in the seasaw that we fell over and just laughed it all off. The St. Margaret of Hungary students also have a very competitive spirit. Even though we have our own group of friends, when we have a contest as a section, we would all be united as one to accomplish our tasks in the best and most fun way possible. Everyone would cooperate in the planning, the making and the cheering, no matter what contest it may be. Of course, like every other section, we experience misunderstandings and fights but at the end of the day, we would always work things out. And even though we have groups that separate us from each other, we still consider ourselves united and treat each other as one section, one class, one family.

WELCOME ADDRESS Ma. Erica Celestine A. Nido

To our school directress, Sister Maria Goretti S. Verga O.P, academic heads, discipline and student affair heads, teachers, parent, special guest and my fellow graduates, Good Morning! It is my great honor to welcome all of you to our graduation ceremony, a truly special day for us graduates, and to those who have helped us along the way. It’s so nice to see all of you here participate in this very important occasion in our lives, another milestone, and a very good reason to celebrate. Today marks the end of our grade school journey, a journey filled with challenges, never ending projects, exams, home works and school activities and I say I’m so glad we all came out fine. It was never easy but with all the knowledge we gained, achievements we acquired, friendships we secured, and memories we can look back to with fondness then yes, it’s definitely worth it. Indeed, the assistance of our family, teachers and friends contributed immensely to the success of our grade school journey and for that we are deeply grateful. They will continue to motivate and inspire us as we move up to the next level. Let us not be sad, for today we have finished Grade School. I’m happy that the whole batch is able to graduate and overcome the obstacles to graduation. Even though it was difficult and tiring, we still made it and I’m proud of you guys. Moving up will be hard, but it will be a new beginning, I can assure you that. We must not also forget that we would not be here without the never-ending support of the Dominican family, our teachers and our parents, who have sacrificed greatly for us. On behalf of our graduating batch, I send to you our deepest gratitude. We have come this far and it’s a long way to go. This is not the end but rather this marks a new beginning. We look forward to high school with eager anticipation and excitement. I’m pretty sure we’re going to do greater things. A warm welcome to everyone! Let’s all celebrate today, let’s celebrate us! Thank you and God bless!

FAREWELL ADDRESS Claire Therese L. Veloso

Sister Maria Goretti S. Verga OP, department heads, faculty, staff, parents and guests, my fellow grade six batchmates, a pleasant morning to all of you. Today, I am honored and happy to stand before you, and I am also happy that we all made it! Let me start with a lyric of a song which I sang when I was in Grade 2 where I won First place. WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR, MAKES NO DIFFERENCE WHO YOU ARE, ANYTHING YOUR HEART DESIRES WILL COME TO YOU... That STAR is unfolding in our hearts now. Today we celebrate the beginning of our long journey to achieve our dreams. Looking back, I recall so many memories we shared together. Memories that we would hold on to, as we embark on a new journey. The moments when we would always stick together, side by side through it all, the surprises and efforts we give each other on our birthdays, the moments when we were given tasks that were so hard to do but we still managed to slip in the laughter and fun. I never thought that when we look back, it would be the embarrassing moments that would make us laugh and the happy moments that would make us cry. Time has flown so fast. It’s a good thing that we did not and Ms. Analyn Grace Royo, thank you for the guidance and take the time we had for granted. I would always cherish support. We learned so much from you. BATCH HISTORY Claire Therese L. Veloso

I remember our very first day as we walked through the hallways as Grade 6 students. Who would have thought we would be with the people we’re with right now? Who would have thought it would be a pressuring and busy year ahead of us? Who would have thought this was going to be a very unforgettable year for all of us?

Our batch is also very loving and appreciative. We would never fail to show our love and gratefulness to our teachers and fellow classmates. Yes, we may be “pasaway” at times but we wouldn’t trade it for anything because of the lessons we have learned and the stories we would always hold on to. One of the memories we would surely treasure was during our fieldtrip to Lola Corazon and Paradise Ranch. We did team building activities as a batch. It was a contest between the 2 sections. It was a really fun experience because we were able to bond with our fellow batchmates. in addition, we all went rockclimbing and ziplining.

We started our first journey as a grade school student in the first floors of the grade school building. As our grade level goes higher, the floor we are in also goes higher. And as we take one year higher, we have also attained a higher level of knowledge and a stronger bond of friendship on the way. Now that we have reached the highest grade school level, I believe that we have been molded to be ready for Of course, who would forget the sportsfest and another journey. the fair?
