Cheer Athletics is the most successful athletic program of its type, serving the top cheer athletes in the country. From the first practice in the summer of 1994, Cheer Athletics has always strived to be “The Best of the Best.” Through competitions, performances, and practices, our staff works to develop the whole athlete - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Cheer Athletics has earned more World, National, Grand, and Program championship titles than any other program in history.

The most direct way that we help the youth in our program is by bettering their skills and helping them reach their athletic potential, but we believe our program serves a higher purpose. Throughout their lives, everyone will experience situations in which they must work together with others to achieve common goals. Teamwork is a lifelong lesson more valuable than tumbling skills. Our athletes learn about sportsmanship, working together towards goals, and striving to win. We have collected more than enough trophies, banners, medals, and jackets to fill our gym, but we are most proud of the life lessons that we have been able to instill in the athletes in our program.

World Class Staff Working for Cheer Athletics is a huge honor among cheerleading professionals across the globe. Our reputation and the talent level of our athletes make Cheer Athletics one of the most sought-after places to work in the cheerleading industry. As a result, we are able to hand-select our staff from around the country based on our specific criteria. We choose only the most energetic, creative, mature, and qualified professionals to work with our athletes.

Time Commitment Practices are important to the success of our teams. Our practices are mandatory. Most teams practice twice a week (2 hours on a Sunday, 2 hours during the week). As competition season nears, we will likely call extra practices beyond a team’s normal schedule. We do excuse a limited number of absences (summer vacations and school year activities that result in a grade) and sickness with a doctor’s note. We must be notified of these in advance. As we get closer to our major competitions, we get much less lenient about the types of excuses we allow. Practices during the week or two leading up to NCA Nationals or Worlds are mandatory.

Teaching the value and principles of good sportsmanship to our athletes is incredibly important to our program. We expect ALL members of the CA family to exhibit positive sportsmanship at all times. We also expect our staff, athletes, and their families to keep their public social media family-friendly at all times. Failure to do so may result in removal from the program.

We try to make practices and competitions fun, rewarding, and productive. We attempt to create a positive learning environment at CA and use “hugs and high-5s” as our primary motivators. If you have not seen one of our team practices, you might be surprised at how positive and enjoyable they can be. We expect our athletes to improve their technique and progress their skills through efficient practices, but they should have fun as well.

Tryout Process After the final date of tryouts, the staff will meet several times to assemble the rosters for the upcoming season. The staff will work together to come up with teams that each have the best possible chance of a successful competitive season. After our final meeting, we will contact each athlete (or parent) by phone to let them know the results of tryouts. We hope to have this process completed by May 10. The new teams will begin practice the following Sunday (May 11). The vast majority of athletes who attend tryouts will be selected for a team. If we are not able to find a good fit for an athlete on a team, then 100% of the tryout fee will be credited back. We cannot determine the number of type of teams we will have at each location until after the tryouts are completed.

There are flyer evaluations for athletes that wish to be considered as a flyer for next season. Flyers will show technique, flexibility, and potential. If an athlete does not attend the Flyer Evaluation, this does not automatically mean they will not be a flyer, but attendance helps. If an athlete does attend the flyer tryout, it does not guarantee that athlete a spot as a flyer.

We are offering three tryouts sessions. Athletes are highly encouraged to attend both days within the session selected.

Program Costs Competitive cheerleading, while not as costly as some youth activities, can still be expensive. Before you consider this or any program, please carefully consider the financial commitment involved. Cheer Athletics has the finest staff and the most state-of-the-art facility in our sport. As a result, our fees are higher than many programs (although not as much as you might expect). If you factor in the costs of entry fees, summer camp/activities, booster club, and other expenses that are often paid separately at other gyms, you may spend less per year than some other programs. They may advertise a lower “tuition” rate only to have you pay significant extra amounts throughout the year for entry fees, choreography, or booster club. At Cheer Athletics, we are as open and up-front with our costs as possible.

We have an “all-inclusive” monthly price that covers nearly ALL the expenses that an athlete will incur throughout the year. There are 12 monthly charges from May 2014 - April 2015. (Tuition for May 2014 will be due on the first day of practice on Sunday, May 11th. For June - April, tuition will be due on the 1st of each month.) This price includes: tuition, entry fees for local and national competitions, summer team activities, choreography/music, and several other expenses. This system makes planning much easier for our customers. You will know exactly how much you will pay, and when it will happen.
