Mediterranean Masterpiece Andrea and Martin Deputy had a clear style in mind with specific wants for their forever home. Working with the right people who had the perfect resources assisted in developing their picturesque house.

ometimes people find design inspiration in a painting or rug. For Andrea and Martin Deputy, their home design came from their travels around the world. Italian, Moorish, and Spanish design influences can be found throughout this exquisite Lowcountry abode. A lot of planning, collaboration, and creativity went into this completely custom creation. One local source that helped
the Deputys bring this dream together was Melcer Tile. “Right before we built this house we spent seven weeks traveling in Europe from Greece to southern Spain. From this derive, we fell in love with the architecture of southern Spain with the white-washed houses with red ceramic-tiled roofs and modern interiors,” explains Andrea. “From this area we
explored Morocco and places like the Alhambra in Grenada. Alhambra had the most influence on our style.” After returning from this trip early in the planning stages of this home, the pair dug deeper into the building process and returned with Spanish tile that would help to set the stage for this house.
