ABOUT
Charran Book Services Ltd. was born from humble beginnings and has slowly grown to a publishing house and trusted book distributor servicing the CARICOM market. Roopnarine and Duriji Charran opened their general store in Chaguanas in the 1950’s and it was one of their sons, Reginald Charran, who saw the opportunity to shift the focus of the family business to offering textbooks for sale. This was inspired by his career as a teacher at several high schools in Trinidad, Bahamas and even Mexico. He encouraged the family to enter the book retail industry and the rest as they say is history! Fast forward to today: Charran’s is a name synonymous with everything for your back-to-school needs. Reginald Charran’s drive continued after writing the successful Va de Cuento, who he coauthored with Bedoor Maharaj. He went on to establish the publishing arm in 1972, where he authored and published over a hundred titles, many of which he co-wrote and developed with local teachers and colleagues. Reginald Charran is recognised as a pioneer for his vision and work in developing the textbook publishing industry in Trinidad and Tobago. His titles remain hugely popular and widely available throughout the Caribbean. Prior to his death in January 2018, he divested control of his publishing businesses, Charran Publishing House and Archimedes Publishers to his son, Rico Charran, owner and Managing Director of Charran Book Services Ltd. Charran Book Services Ltd. aims to carry on his legacy of creating high quality textbooks and educational materials that capture the imagination and unlock every student’s potential. We are passionate about what we do as it enables us to fulfil our mission to make education accessible and affordable to everyone. That is why we continue to strive to provide everything for back-to-school, from an ever-increasing selection of books from all publishers, stationery, uniforms and school accessories, to the latest technology. We are proud to serve our customers throughout the Caribbean with a focus on quality, value and service. Building on our solid foundation, we continue to evolve and progress. We are now happy to provide our many loyal customers with a new shopping experience that is convenient, safe and easy to use: online ordering and delivery options of all your back-to-school needs. Can you identify the triangles, squares and rectangles along with other shapes shown below?
