The Currency. The currency used in Thailand is the Baht. One baht is divided into 100 Satang. There are six different coins and five different notes (bills) in Thailand. 25 & 50 satang coins 1,2,5 & 10 baht coins 20,50,100, 500 & 1000 baht notes

Koh Samui History Koh Samui has been settled for about 1500 years. The first inhabitants were fishermen. Fishing and coconuts plantations has been the major source of income on the island. Today tourism is the main income for the inhabitants of the island.

You have the following climates & seasons on Samui: Dry Season : December – February Not much Rain, but there might be some refreshing wind or a breeze. Hot Season: March – August The weather is still dry in this time and it is usually sunny and hot. It might rain a little more though. Rain Season: September – November Also known as the monsoon season. It is still hot and normally there are many sunny days. But you may find yourself in a refreshing monsoon shower for a moment. These showers are often short.

Dining on Koh Samui There is a lot of fine restaurants on the island where you can eat also at very reasonable prices. Thailand is well know for its traditional food. It is generally very healthy with a lot of vegetables and not much fat, but some dishes are hot and spicy.
