Wiffle Dat Azz Wiffle Dat Azz vs. Pilot Media Bombers "You dropped the bomb on me....baby..." Congrats to Pilot Media Bombers on their first win of the season! They brought it out Gap Band style and dropped the bomb! Our three home runs of the night (2 by Erica and 1 by Reno) couldn't hold them back. We were leading 7-0 for more than half of the game when all of the sudden...Pilot Media came out swinging and showed us that practice makes perfect! Great game guys....and we love your suitcase boom box! Dang...I almost forgot....MVP goes to Rob Mendoza who just about flipped over the fence catching a ball one handed!
Take a Wiff of This Take a Wiff of This vs. Loose Cannons So Robbie just taught me the meaning of earned and unearned runs a couple weeks ago…he even tested me with different scenarios that can happen in games and had me say either unearned or earned. Well…our game against the Cannons was a prime example of unearned runs. For the non-baseball lovers out there, an unearned run is a run scored due to defensive errors. Our defense was WAY off this game…and not to mention the Loose Cannons were mashing the ball. Good game guys and hope to see ya’ll in the playoffs in a couple weeks!
Take a Wiff of This vs. Wiffler’s Mom Although I did feel a little defeated from our loss to Loose Cannons, Take a Wiff of This had to rally to play against Wiffler’s Mom. This was a close game. But we kept our heads up and our D finally decided to show up holding Wiffler’s Mom. Most, if not all of our runs came from homeruns. Way to go Take a Wiff of This! Swinging for the fences is what we do!

ď Œ Loose Cannons Loose Cannons vs. Take a Wiff of This Well...it was a completely different game than last week. We played like we're supposed to and started swinging them bats!! I have a feeling we'll see "Take a Wiff of This" again, in the tourney. It seems like a good rivalry has been born. Good game guys! After the first game, the team was flying high and it was tough trying to get everyone re-focused for the second game against "Holey Balls". However, our bats stayed hot and we ended up taking care of business.
MVP for the day goes to Julie Snyder for making a great catch in the outfield and having several nice hits!! Good job Julie!! - Ryan Roebuck
Holey Balls in Your Mouth Holey Balls in Your Mouth vs. Loose Cannons Holey Balls improved greatly against the Loose Cannons but it wasn't enough to win the game. If the first inning didn't count or if we had another inning, it would have been another story. Haha. The game MVP was Jessi "I don't do single hits"Gonzalez with her grand slam homerun. It was a great team effort. Great game by both teams.
Pilot Media Bombers Pilot Media Bombers vs. Wiffler’s Mom x2 Oh Wiffler’s Mom, how we love you! It’s hard to say anything negative about the two losses we had against them on Thursday. They has some big hitters and fast runners! We enjoyed ourselves with the music selections and had fun trying to keep up. Money was on the line for the second game so that was a hard hit to lose, but if we had to play a triple header with anyone we would have wanted it to be with Wiffler’s Mom.
Pilot Media Bombers vs. Wiffle Dat Azz We were slightly intimidated by them practicing next to us as we got stomped by Wiffler’s Mom. But we went into the game looking to have fun with our favorite pink team (sorry sloppy 2nds) and try to kick some azz. Kick some azz we did! I think the score ended up at 14-10! JF had a home run that also brought in two other runners. We had a lot of good hits and smart moves that allowed us to get our first W! - Ashleigh Tullar
Roscoe’s Chicken N’ Wiffles No Write-Up was Submitted
Sloppy Seconds Sloppy Seconds vs. Roscoe's Chicken n'Wiffle This game was hyped from the get go, both teams wanted this game really badly. The first inning was all about Defense in the first inning. After that Sloppy's Amoeba D was gone for the day. We were a little shorthanded in this game, but that wasn't an excuse we wanted to take. Roscoe was hitting the ball all over the place...nothing you can do when their sticks are on fire. It was a valiant effort on our end...maybe this week we will give you a run for your money. - Jon Reyes

Will Somerindyke from Take a Wiff of This claims this HUGE bulge on his hands are just muscle…but seriously?!?!? I have never seen anything like this. I said it’s a tumor…you need to go get it checked out….he says “it’s not a tumor” What do ya’ll think? When you have a chance go up to him and ask him to see it, so you can see for yourselves. He’s the huge guy on my team…can’t miss him!
You’re from Chesapeake MY ASS!
So, the first time I ever talked to Roman Goldshteyn, I noticed a very sexy accent on him! So of course, I ask where he’s from…Chesapeake he says. “ok where are your parents from? Again, he says Chesapeake! GRRRR! But the well traveled Will Somerindyke figured it out…he’s from Ukraine! Girls., with his accent and his awesome sense of humor…this one is a catch!
It’s a TUMOR!
Happy Birthday Robbie Wright! Just wanted to wish the best boyfriend in the world a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I know you hate being center of attention, but now is my time to post emabarrasing pictures of you! BUT….I know how proud you are of your bruise and how you try to show everyone every chance you get…so I’ll show the whole wiffle ball community! Love you bebay!
Favorite Asset of the Week This girl’s got thighs for days! One of the first things the guys on my team noticed when they saw Nadia Kraft were her thighs. I had a couple guys (not going to mention any names) ask to meet her thighs! What’s her secret, you ask….biking! I think that’s why I’m searching beach cruisers everyday on craigslist!
My FIRST bruise! Best Thighs in Hampton Roads! He’s going to get so mad I put this up!
Aren’t we just the cutest couple!
Great calves too!!!

The Dos and DONTs •
DO NOT bring alcoholic beverages to the field….or at least be discreet about it!
DO clean up after yourselves! Unfortunately, maid service was cut out of Backyard Sports Club’s budget due to the economy.
DO be friendly to the Refs: Please do not yell at them…just remember, you’re the one that will look like a jerk if you yell at them.
DO NOT be “that guy.” We do not own Uno Chicago Grill or the premises around it; so when you do something stupid, you’re not excluded from any laws just because you are wearing a Backyard Sports Club t-shirt.
DO NOT leave a fellow wiffleballer behind; we take care of our own. Don’t let your teammate drink like a champ and drive home. Find the closest decent looking guy/gal, introduce them, and have them go home together.
DO NOT be bitter. It’s super important that if you end up having a “sleep over” with a fellow wiffleballer, be cool with them for weeks to follow. We’re a small community, you’re gonna end up seeing them all season! When they drop you off at your car, hug it out, smile…and say “hi” the following week.
DO NOT try to guess that persons name!
DO go to our sponsor Bar, Uno Chicago Grill. It’s what the cool kids are doing.
DO NOT fight! This is a fun league, HAVE FUN! If you fight, fun’s over for you, you’ll be kicked out.
DO always wear your Backyard Sports Club shirt. I know laundry once a week may be too much, so it’s cool if you go a couple weeks without washing….unless you’ve got bad B.O. like Robbie Wright!
DO NOT smoke at the fields!
