By Adam Mannie

Heathfeild School where the incident took place, school is now under observation.

Rachel Monogan, Mother of two, has been charged with assault yesterday after attacking another mother whose child bullied 9 year old Tilly Monogan till she tried to kill herself. Mrs Monogan’s 9 year old daughter who has severe disabilities was bullied constantly till she tried to commit suicide; Mrs Monogan was in disbelief with her daughter’s actions and in disgust at how the school failed to do anything to resolve the problem. Ms Johnson, The mother of Luke who spat, punched and swore continually at Tilly, amongst other appalling behaviour, was confronted by Mrs Monogan at the school gates accusing her of not

bringing up her child correctly and not being a good mother. Ms Johnson reacted accusing Mrs Monogan for having “preferred treatment” because of her daughter’s disabilities and continued showing discriminative behaviour towards Tilly. The situation escalated from there by Mrs Monogan attacking Ms Johnson till she lay unconscious on the floor. Ms Johnson is now recovering in Selly Oak hospital and will be charged for disturbing the peace and harassment. Witnesses say” It was a horrible thing to witness, especially for the children coming out of school, But some of the things that she ( Ms Johnson) came out with were disgusting” Teachers at

Woodbridge school in Kings Norton apologised for what has gone on, and that the situation was not in their control. Mrs Monogan’s response was that if it wasn’t their responsibility to make sure that peoples children are safe when they leave them at the gates at school then whose is it. Mrs Monogan, who has been sentenced for 3 months community service has said that its unacceptable, and can’t happen anymore, “It’s the hardest thing to see your child go through so much suffering and not able to do anything about it, about what she had been through in the day,

Rugby Club to close due to low funds! Kings Heath Rugy Club is due to close due to low funds, The club has been in financial difficulties for over a year now, and due to loss of investors and support from the rugby union it is to be sold, or worse ciese to exist. Members of the club have argued that they have not been given enough time to save the club and that it is unfair on the local community to loose out on a much loved club. Mose Heath also suffered the same fate earlier last year when they too lost investors and their clubs team started to go down hill after deafeats over the last two years. Kings Heath council have tried everything they could “We have set up fundrasiers, charitable events, open days, family days where we got the whole family to compeat in different races against other families which was a great success! But it doesnt seem to of worked!” Many of the local residents have also been doing their bit for the club, “Its been a massive support for the community over the last 50 years Ive been living here, My husband, my two sons and grandchildren have all been involved in someway with the club, and its a shame how after all this time we can’t give back the support that the club has given us. Four Houses, Villa in France plus 2.1 Million in the bank? But the owner has Fur! Mrs Killins lived in Moseley for 60 years, Once married then widowed she had no living relatives to pass on her fortune, except a 10 year old cat called lockey. Her entier estate was left to the well loved cat, including a villa in the south of France, Four homes across the country including Cornwal, Wales, and London and her current residence in Birmingham. There has been outrage in the idea of an animal gaining that much amount of money, especially as now the cat is in a new home. Lawyers looking into the case have said that rightfully it would belong to the nearest living relative, but seen as Mrs Killins had none it know by law belongs to the feline. Neighbour to the late Mrs Killins is now looking after the cat in her home, but the money cannot be touched and might in the end be transferred to the cancer research charity which was too put down in Mrs Killins will.

West Heath in Birmingham has raised over 7,000 for a local charity. A Methodist church in the town was serverly destroyed by the storms in Feburary and has been unable to amend them, ‘The cost were too great, and it would of been a massive task” Local MP’s told us, But the kindness of the local people backing the charitable work done by Davidson college has paid off and they have reached their originial goal, but the money seems to keep rolling in for the new church. “ Im overwhelmed at how much effort the children have put in and the lengths they have gone to to make this a succes” Says Rev. John Davies. The Reconstruction is to take place on the 23rd of November and the church is asking for volunters to help with the massive

project. “It couldnt of been done without the help of the public, we are very touched by all the kindness they have demonstrated during this mammoth task, it has been an great pleasure to be apart of the new generations caring and loving characteristics which many these days gets wrong, they seem to get lots of negative feedback but i think they are briliant.” Members of the church told Local Enquiry on Tuesday.

SUPERBRUMMY! By Jake Edwards When youths decided to break in to a house in Balsall Heath, The last thing they thought would happen is that a 40 yr old woman would take both of them down. Mrs Hemmings born and bread in birmingham couldnt believe her eyes when two teenagers, aged 17 and 18 broke in to her home on haloween. “I was just settling the kids down and just happened to hear a voice outside the back door, so i went downstairs and spotted the two youngsters, I waited about 10 minutes deciding what i should do, then i remebered that i had left my sons skateboard in the hall, so i quickly grabbed it, threw a glass at them as i entered the kitchen and then hit them both over the head at the same time with the skateboard, Immediatly the were both on the floor so i decided to lock the back door and window and then lock the kitchen from the outside, thanks to my toddlers safty locks we had put up, so they were trapped in untill the police came and took them away.” West Midlands Police were astonished at the bravery of Mrs Hemmings, and rewarded her with a £1000 and a certificate. “Its people like Mrs Hemmings which prove that if we all worked together we can stamp out crimes in Birmingham, We would advise those not to do what Mrs hammings did as it was extremely lucky she had the security in place, If anything happens in your area, but advised to install a burgular alarm or set up your own local lookout” Police officials stated. There has been a dramtic increase in bugulary in the Kings Heath/Moseley area reports state, and according to local councils they are trying to do everything that they can do to tackle it head on, however the moral to this story is to always keep childrens toys lying around just incase.
