Hi, I’m Charles, and I design for good. I’ve recently graduated from the Diploma in Visual Communication and specialised in Visual Branding and Identity. Since young, I had a passion in design and photography, and for many years, I’ve explored this medium, to bring design to life and improve user experiences. I look for new ways to innovate on designs and work creatively. Less talk, more action, I let my designs speak for me.

LAZ is a responsible retail brand with a focus on the environment. By reusing returned boxes, it can cut down the production of disposable single-use packagings and work towards a sustainable future. And with gamification, LAZ rewards its users for returning these boxes through promotions and discounts.

GAMIFICATION LAZquest is a game designed for LAZ to increase customer’s brand recall and loyalty. With every package returned, it credits to the user to have a chance at the game. It would be a retro treasure hunt game, played on smartphones and tablets for convenience and the map sectors would evolve around the theme of retail to promote sales.

APP DESIGN The LAZ app enables gamification to be applied to the brand, which elevates user experience and brings back loyal customers.

LAZ KIOSK LAZ Kiosks can be readily found in shopping malls to promote convenience. When returning the boxes, users will see it light-up with a chime to signify his/her contribution towards a sustainable future. When done, the respective amount of points will be credited to the user’s account.

USER EXPERIENCE LAZ provides a holistic experience for its users.

The user touch-point starts from receiving the delivery box, compacting and returning it, playing the game to collect rewards, and back to online shopping. The process repeats. The users benefit by earning rewards, while online shops benefit from repeated customers.
