In a classic reversal of roles, EDTA President, Brian Wynne, will ask these reporters to defend their attacks or explain their support for electric drive. We’ll hear their take on the current media narratives regarding EVs and what it will take to change the tone of public discourse. There will also be a presentation of the Electric Drive Hall of Fame inductees.

EV charging continues pushing into the market and there is a distinct call for increased public infrastructure. Whether at a rest area, gas station, storefront, or parking lot, there are many questions to be answered to ensure a best-fit installation. Issues have arisen concerning ideal placement, billing responsibility, appropriate wattage levels, government policies, and permitting requirements — just to name a few. Attend this workshop to discuss these issues and more with the full spectrum of stakeholders in public infrastructure. W2: Accelerate the Good: Educating Consumers to GoElectricDrive 3:30 – 5:30 pm

GoElectricDrive is working to spread the word to America that electric drive is here to stay. Come learn about the program and what you can do to spread the word to colleagues, friends, and neighbors. We’re all professionals in the industry, but we can have an equally meaningful impact on the market by how we behave as individual consumers. What are the best ways to expose people to electric drive? What are the best metrics to cite about the benefits of driving electric? Energy storage systems continue to develop more efficient ways of holding onto an electrical charge. We are rapidly approaching the time when charged vehicles will be able to help balance our national energy demand by giving energy back to the grid.
