Oakley plutonite Lens Wheelchair rugby is played in a manual wheelchair. Key design features include a front bumper, designed to help strike and hold opposing wheelchairs, and wings, which are positioned in front of the main wheels to make the wheelchair more difficult to stop and hold. Chairs are designed differently depending on the role and position of each athlete. Low pointer chairs are designed for blocking and picking, therefore the front ends are very long with lots of creative hooking devices. Mid pointers chairs are a cross between a blocking chair and an offensive chair. A high pointers chair is offensive; it usually has wings to push through the low pointer picks. The spoke guards are flush with the push rim. For their manufacture is used the latest CNC technology, which is proffesional for Wood, Aluminum, Fiber, Acrylic and Polycarbonate boards. CNC stands for Computer Numerically Controlled. CNC always refers to how a machine operates, that is, its basic method of controlling movement. Its technology was a major advance in the ability of machines to faithfully reproduce

It is also no longer recommended to use everyday chairs, due to safety. Strapping should be mandatory. It not only improves the athlete’s performance, and balance, it is also a safety tool. The wheelchair is like a pair of athletic shoes, they are always secured to the legs/feet and fitted as to size. A waist strap, leg straps for both legs, and foot strap to secure your feet should always be used. Leg straps are used to secure the legs and also create a pocket for the ball to be held. Also It is very important for safety reason to keep the feet back as to not hit the toes. Securing heels so they don’t hit the ground or the casters is also beneficial for performance. All strap positions should be checked for skin integrity. Straps should not irritate the skin thus preventing pressure sores. Tape is also used to protect the fingers and forearms from friction burns.

So it came up that Oakley has impact resistance against heavy objects at low speeds and resistance against lighter objects at high speeds.

The Fastskin II, or FSII, is a line of swimsuits made of Speedo’s patented Fastskin fabric, designed to react to water the same way that sharkskin does: it repels water and reduces drag. Sharkskin, laden with millions of small, V-shaped skin ridges called dermal dentricles, is a hydrodynamic casing of sorts. These dentricles allow water to pass over and around a shark’s body very efficiently, reducing drag. This drag-reducing power is what Speedo sought when it designed the FSII with tiny ridges that emulate sharkskin. The fabric is a biomimetic knitted construction that has ridges, where small vortices are formed. The ridges are scientifically calculated for height and width to the exact proportion as that of the Shark’s dermal denticles, which is the most efficient configuration for speed. The fabric also compresses the body to stop skin vibration and muscle fatigue to save energy and reduce drag by up 4 per cent. Also the FSII Bodysuits are gender specific. Speedo also studied the general differences in the way male

and female swimmers are shaped and applied the results to the production of their FSII bodysuits. Male FSII bodysuits feature the Fastskin fabric in all panels except the underarm panels, which are made of “Flexskin,” and allow full range of motion. Female FSII bodysuits feature Flexskin fabric as well as the Fastskin fabric, but on the female suit the Flexskin is located on the side panels, for a wrinkle-free and drag-reducing fit. After testing the swimmers wearing FSII they came up that Fastskin fabric has three per cent less surface resistance than their previous hightech suit: the Aquablade. Speedo also determined that the full-bodysuit (FSII with arms) is 7.5 per cent faster than all of the other suits used in the study. The development of the Fastskin II involved a team of experts. CyberFX, the Hollywood-based body scanning and special effects company who also worked on Spiderman.
