introduction Every day, the Good Shepherd Shelter provides a safe place for families who have survived domestic violence. Our commitment to providing long-term, comprehensive care and advocacy for women and children who have experienced domestic violence creates a meaningful impact not solely for our direct recipients, but also for Southern California. Our success is built on a foundation of more than 40 years of operations. From our vast experience, we have developed comprehensive care solutions that create life-long impacts for our families. It is my pleasure to to return to the Shelter to serve as executive director and continue the impactful work of the Sisters and the entire staff towards ending the cycle of violence and abuse by providing individualized, residential and counseling services to families in need. As we look back on 2014 and the strides we have made have been significant. We are growing our program for the first time in over 38 years. We are expanding the number of inresidence families by over 40 percent – serving more and increasing, there is much reason for celebration and excitement. Increasingly, it is clear that we must expand our operations in order to serve our mission and ensure that we are achieving our maximum potential in the community. This year, we are embarking on our first physical expansion in more than four decades through the reconstruction of our administrative and educational facilities and the construction of new wrap around services facilities. In addition, we are also leveraging our knowledge and experience in domestic violence treatment through new partnerships that will increase community awareness and law enforcement capacity in addressing domestic violence. Our impactful programs are made possible through the generosity of private donors and foundations. Your continued support makes our programs possible.
