Thank you for the prayers, cards, calls and offers of assistance during my illness.  Expressions of sympathy when Janie's husband, Dr. Jeffrey Robbins, died July 13th. It meant so much to our family.  Thanks, Bey Benjamin Thank you to all for the kind words and cards during my recovery. I am doing very well so far. Thank you! - Bob Crivelli

Sara Perrine Minister, Discipleship & Missions

Our Chaparral family is... incredibly generous!   Thanks to you, we were able to deliver well over 700 bottles of water to the Salvation Army.   During the month of August we will be collecting items for Shoebox Ministry, with a special emphasis on toothpaste, shampoo, bar soap and hand lotion.   Additional donations, such as deodorant, tooth brushes and hotel sample bottles, and sunscreen are welcome as well.  To date, you have made a remarkable response.   Remember, a trip to one of the dollar stores is a great way to stretch your purchasing power, and homeless people will so appreciate these items we take for granted.

Concert Today at 2:00 p.m.!!!

Nick Stavlund Executive Minister

Sharon Alger Ministry Director Women, Hospitality

Jackie Huber Director, Teen Choir

Our own Mia Laity will present a violin recital today at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.  It is a free recital and will be followed by a reception. All are invited to attend this beautiful recital. Nicole Moran Preschool Director

Sermon Notes

Helpful Information We hope your worship experience with us will be meaningful. To help you feel a bit more comfortable with our campus and morning programs, we have included a few recommendations. We are glad you are here today! • We would like to get to know you! Each pew has a Welcome Book in which you can let us know prayer requests, sign up for events and update your information. Please pass the Welcome Book down the row so we can hear from everyone! • Communion/Lord’s Supper All followers of Christ are welcome to participate in our Service of Communion. If you have prepared yourself for this very special moment with our Savior, you are invited to his table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please take the emblems as they are passed and partake when you are ready. Some prefer to take it while it is in front of them before passing it along. • Offering In our first two services, a special time for giving is set aside. Participation is an act of worship and voluntary. During our third service there will not be a time specific for offering but rather boxes are placed at the entry to allow for giving as you are led. • Nursery We have a friendly, well-staffed and impeccably clean nursery located on the north side of the narthex. Please see an usher for directions
