SOFTBALL STADIUM RENOVATION COMPLETED The softball team returned to campus and an upgraded Coastal Carolina Softball Stadium for the start of the 2014 season, following a renovation that included new grandstands and the addition of the program’s own building. The facility includes coaches’ offices, the team locker room, meeting space, a press box and concession stand. Seating capacity at the stadium increased to 351, while additional standingroom areas were added. The stadium officially reopened on February 8 as Coastal hosted College of Charleston and posted a 9-1 victory. Former longtime head coach and CCU Hall of Fame member Jess Dannelly threw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game.

ROOSTER’S NEST FINDS NEW HOME AT CCU SOCCER STADIUM In the fall of 2014, the Rooster’s Nest that had been a staple for fans behind the right field wall at the former Watson Stadium was moved to the East endzone at the CCU Soccer Stadium. With the addition of the Rooster’s Nest to the Soccer Stadium, the venue’s capacity increased to nearly 2,300. The Rooster’s Nest, which is standing room only, affords Chanticleer fans a unique view of the action on the pitch.

CONSTRUCTION STARTED ON NEW TENNIS COMPLEX Construction on the new Coastal Carolina Tennis Complex was started in the spring. The facility, which is located in the Atlantic Center, is slated to open in the spring of 2015. The Coastal Carolina Tennis Complex Features: • Men’s and women’s locker rooms • Coaches’ offices • Student-athlete lounge area •12 courts, including six with lighting features • Spectator seating 16
