How do you write your songs?

How did you get into the music industry?

Well to start off with, I sing random tunes in my head, usually in the shower (laughs). I would record it, and then what I do is develop it and get the chord/ progression, and just build on it from there

I performed at one of my mums art exhibitions, because… unfortunately there was a cancel at the last minute! So my mum asked me if I would like to perform and of course I said yes. It was so strange, because I was there to help my mum. But there was an agent who is a friend of a friend, that we didn’t know was coming. He heard me sing, and asked me after if he could represent me

What was it like to work with Ed Sheeran? it was an amazing experience, and he’s got so much success, but he’s just a really humble guy. And he’s really funny as well, like he’s really witty, and he made me laugh a lot. He is an incredibly talented songwriter as well, so yes, he’s really awesome Any advice to future singers/ songwriters, and a word to your fans? Ok. with any advice I would say just literally keep putting yourself out there, like get involved with as many activities in what you love as much as you can. Like I started doing lots of song writing competitions as soon as I hit thirteen, like literally if you want to do this as a career, you need to start now and take it seriously. It’s all or nothing! And a message to my fans, thankyou so, so much for supporting me all the way. It was you who enabled me to do what I love on a regular basis, and I will always be grateful.

What was your sold out concert like in the USA? Daunting! I travelled around and went to different places, saw so many people, it was the best thing I have ever done in my life. This is what I have dreamed of, so when I got on stage, played my music and my fans were there… (giggles) it was incredible. Why do you love music? I’ve loved singing from a young age, and it’s one of the things that I actually can do with a passion, whereas with the other stuff I don’t really put anything into. It’s a way of expressing yourself and finding out your real feelings and how you think about things
