Client Brief You are to totally reimagine The Piccadilly Hotel as a multilevel hospitality venue fit for its time and location, bringing value to the client, the patrons and the community. None of the existing interior arrangements, functions or elements need to be retained. This idea of value frames your design solution. You will need to refer to the value of your creative ideas, taking into consideration the commercial and functional requirements of your client, the sociological factors of the patrons (and staff), and the broader societal (community) implications of your design, including sustainability.

spatial modelling
Client Brief Designing a large scale exhibition space to house a large transportation vehicle. You are designing the interior volume only, without regard to a building it would sit within. The spatial envelope that bounds your space is completely enclosed, other than an entry point (s) that you determine. You fully control the solid boundaries of the space (width, breadth, height and form), which can take any form or size to suit your conceptual ideas. All lighting will be artificial. You can create as many spaces or interconnected spaces, levels, and spacewithin-space as you wish, in line with you conceptual approach. There are no size restrictions on the space, other than ensuring that the volume and size is appropriate to your vehicle; in this way the size and orientation of the space is to some extent governed by the size of your vehicle.
CONCEPT Vehicle: The RMS Titanic, 1912 Concept: Refraction - Appearances versus reality

CONCEPT At the initial stages of my design project I was allocated the culture Mex-ico. Through my research within this culture what inspired me most was their link to Mayan Architecture. Through my further investigation into Mayan Architecture my concept of maze like structures was developed. This was chosen as my main design concept as the maze like structure was very similar to the structural form of Mayan Architecture.
