skiers row the alpine skiers row house has a width of 6 meters and is inserted between two existing residences the programme is mainly residential yet contains a workshop, office space, fitness zone and 100 meters of ramp intended for the dual purpose of circulation and exercise each split-level along the ramp acts as a checkpoint for the olympic athlete

prefab the 21 piece house is a prefabricated residence designed to be delivered directly to the site and assembled within 3 days time each component has a width of 0.9m or less and creates the primary structure for a transformable space

spirits this spirit distillery and boutique hotel negotiates a solution to the masterplanning of the brantford airport site embedded in caledon ontario in lieu of the airport restrictions and height constraints, planting wheat is used to densify the landscape and a sloped architectural form manifests itself this agricultural product is the catalyst for creating a napa valley in caledon

shipping + receiving this occurs along the service road allowing the built form to have a separate address

pedestrians the built form allows an organized spiral approach yet allows organic movement as well

spirit production a very linear approach that eventually recycles itself

parking the vehicle enters from the service road and there is a void in the built form that allows for covered parking

circulation


fauna the existence of fauna in the ontario greenbelt is directly proportional to the adaptability of each species to non-native habitats predators and nourishment this study explored the presence of endangered common and invasive species through their population growth or decline over the history of the ontario greenbelt

complex the site for the complex is located on the intersection of college street and spadina avenue in toronto canada it includes a mixed use set of programmatic elements and a flexibility within the rectangular floorplates of the interior spaces the building is sloped along the east elevation to allow the studio apartments a refreshing view of toronto as well as, the patrons in the surrounding residences to maintain a view up and down the north and south axis of spadina avenue

site plan through my work for arquitectonica i produced a site plan for a residential complex in beirut the style of work was commended at the firm and launched a production of several similar presentations

sunset harbour this plan is an artistically rendered autocad plan using adobe photoshop and creative suites the sunset harbour garage and retail was a project i worked on with a team at arquitectonica

working model this model was constructed in a similar way to the former maquette using museum board, millboard, basswood, pipe cleaners, cotton balls and gesso it was used as a working model in the way that it was constructed throughout the design stage of this project it cuts through a section of the large property and reflects on the landscape architecture designed by atelier baraness et cawker

3d model this 3d computer model was built for the o'ferrall's in the four month work term spent in australia working for design studio 22 it is currently under construction in north sapphire nsw australia this 3d house model was previewed at the coffs harbour home show and used as a marketing tool

maquette atelier baraness et cawker requested a topographical maquette for a villa designed cliffside in villars sur var france it is a study of geology and structural foundation made to resist the force of gravity the maquette is composed of white museum board with an application of gesso to provide a hard and smooth plaster shell

wedgewood after a charrette process with the clients in st john’s newfoundland, cei architecture won the task to design an aquatic centre in wedgewood park the form of the building was developped in a team through a series of maquettes that were designed and constructed by myself the morphology of the project is fluid and respectful to the parameters given, as well, the structure was highly considered to meet the sustainability requirements in the east coast of canada

visualizations cei architecture was hired to design a large event centre in thunder bay ontario in tandum with the citizens of the city in order to present the design studies to the public, i was asked to work on the visualizations used to represent and promote cei’s architectural ideas these visualizations were composed using google sketchup to construct a three dimensional computer model and then rendered through su podium and adobe photoshop

photography in attempt to avoid digitally enhancing photography a chemical process was used to enable special effects a process of scratching the developped film around the main subject and applying a base to the background was used to achieve this solution

chair incorporates buddhist ideals found in yoga through structural theory, designed and realized by myself and laura pellow as one uses the chair to move inwards spiritually, the grooves, already inset, grow outwards and more warn as the chair becomes one with the yogi there are three postures that the chair invokes; one is for the newcomer two is for the more advanced three is for the yogi one progresses through the postures as they become more advanced in their practice

green toronto i produced a graphic site analysis of the intersection of spadina and college using a green language through researching and mapping toronto i found it to be deceptively green once inaccessible and private areas are removed, the remaining pockets are minimal
