Andy ’s autobiography in running for sports book of the year award AN autobiography based on the life of a heroic Royal Marine from Bootle has been nominated for The William Hill Sports Book of the Year award. You'll Never Walk, which was penned by Phil Reade, tells the story of Andy Grant's incredible triumph over adversity, when he lost a leg in Afghanisaton before going on to win a 10K belowthe-knee-amputee world record. The William Hill Sports Book of the Year award, which organisers say is the richest and longest running prize for sports writing, has revealed a shortlist

of 17 possible winners. This year the prize for winning the award is £30,000, as well as a free £2,000 William Hill bet, and a day at the races. Andy’s You'll Never Walk book will compete against the likes of Jenson Button's autobiography, entitled Life to the Limit: My Autobiography, and a book penned about Tiger Woods. Andy has described the inclusion in the shortlist as “a bit crazy”, while Phil Reade said he was “absolutely made up” at the recognition. Continued inside
