How to apply a Chalky Stencil

Place the stencil face down on a firm surface; Grid side facing up carefully begin to peel the backing off of the stencil at a 45* angle. Watch for loose pieces such as the centers of e, a, o etc. Make sure they remain on the stencil and mask. If they lift, carefully press them back onto the stencil and reattach.

Turn the stencil over and place stencil on your Chalky Kit where you want the stencil to be painted. Firmly rub and press down the stencil with your finger tracing the letters and design of the stencil with your finger to release any air bubbles remaining.
$6- Fits best up to 7” in Diameter
Seal the stencil before painting the final color. Layer 1 is the color of the Chalky Kit you’ve applied the stencil on. For example: if your Chalky Kit is Vintage White & you want an Officer Blue stencil; 1st apply and dab a light coat of Vintage White and allow to dry for 5 minutes.

Trick or Treat
Once step 3 is completed, apply final coat to your stencil. Allow stencil to dry 2 minutes, lift one corner and pull completly off of the kit and discard. Remove any center from letter such as O, R and P etc.. Using tweezers is highly suggested to pinch and lift up to remove.
Tips & Recommendations If humidity is too high, it will take much longer for the Chalky Paint to dry. Indoor application is suggested. After your Chalky Kit is dry, seal your Chalky Kit with Chalky’s Flat Velvet Indoor & Outdoor Top Coat for protection.
