RELIGIOUS SCHOOL NEWS March was a short, but fun month. Our ISJL fellow, Carrie Bohn, was in town, and we enjoyed having her within our Beth El community. Carrie lead our students and teachers in interactive ISJL programming, such as; an Ice Cream Havdallah, 6th and 7th grade values through Torah, and a teacher in service. A major component of belonging to ISJL is the opportunity to have these visits that enrich our Jewish learning. Purim festivities were happening in the classrooms, smiling faces and acting silly emphasized the joyous meaning to the holiday. Thanks to BEFTY and our Boy Scout troops for the Purim Carnival! Soon, we'll be learning about Passover through, songs, games, discussions, cooking, and more! The learning will begin on Sunday, April 7. The first Friday of every month is Shir Shabbat and dinner. Many of our families participate, and our religious school students get to lead some of the prayers. It's a joyous and spiritual experience, so please join us at the next Shir Shabbat, Friday, April 5,- hope to see you there!
