Co-founder Stacy Schwartz ’04 developed the idea for Ketanga Fitness Retreats after quitting her job in corporate America to travel the world in early 2014, allowing her to embrace her true passions: travel and fitness. As she traveled, Stacy would take bicycle tours of cities, find local trainers and running paths, and always opt for adventure. Soon, the thought of turning this unique way of seeing the world into a career seemed like a possibility. The idea of organizing active and fitness-based trips became a reality. Ketanga Fitness Retreats was born not long after and will host its first official trip this February 2015. Ketanga Fitness Retreats is a niche travel organizer specializing in active vacation packages. The company provides fitness fanatics the opportunity to work out in beautiful, fun, and unique locations, and enables travel lovers to fulfill their wanderlust while remaining active. The mission of Ketanga Fitness Retreats is to connect fitness and travel enthusiasts with the ultimate active vacation that invigorates, challenges, and uplifts the mind, body and soul. The company identifies and sources the best fitness professionals, worldwide destinations, and heart-pumping activities to make each trip unparalleled. It organizes 1-3 trips per month.
