More than 8.000 buyers attend the 72nd edition of Pitti Bimbo A total of 10,000 visitors, of whom 8,000 were buyers, attended the fair which is considered the most important children's fashion show in the world, Pitti Bimbo. According to organization’s data, the fair has increased by 4.5% the number of international buyers compared to last Pitti winter edition. Most of foreign buyers came to Russia (300 buyers), followed by Spain (275) Germany (216), France (173), Great Britain (151), Turkey (131), Holland (129), Belgium (121), Greece (114) and Switzerland (78). Children’s Fashion Europe at Pitti Bimbo Once again our association has attended the largest fair of the sector. There, CFE has announced the activities and projects undertaken and the importance of European companies to join forces with the current economical situation. CFE has also visited the more than 30 member companies, which have gathered at the 72 edition of Pitti Bimbo: Agatha Ruiz de la Prada Baby, Aletta, Barcarola, Baronetti, Bebebo, Berlingot, Blue Seven, Bóboli, Byblos, Caracol, Cóndor, Cri Cri, Cuquito, Ferrari, GF Ferré, Il Gufo, Kitzberg, Laranjinha, Laura Biagiotti Dolls, Mayoral, Newborn Mayoral, Sarabanda, Oh! Soleil, Phard Babe, Pili Carrera, Servino Street Girls, Special Day, Sterntaler, Sucre d’Orge y Tutto Piccolo.

FIMI reinforces its international character CFE, as always, has participated in the last edition of FIMI, International Fair of Children's Fashion, which was held in Valencia from 21 to 23 January. With a total of 218 exhibitors, FIMI strengthens its international aspect this year with 83 of them foreigners. According to the organization FIMI has closed its 72 edition with a "high level of satisfaction", both by exhibitors and visitors. The catwalk “FIMI Fashion Show” was a great success. Every day, visitors were rushing up to see the latest collections of the 16 brands that were part of the parade: Bambolina, Barcarola, Bóboli, Cóndor, Elisa Menuts, Giesswein, Girandola, Laranjinha, Larrana, Lea-Lelo, Mim Pi, Oca Loca , Paglie, Tuc Tuc, Tumble & Dry and Tutto Piccolo.

CPM Kids February 2011 bigger than ever

CPM Kids grows and will become in the largest edition held so far in terms of area and number of exhibitors the next 21, 22, 23 and 24 February. The event has grown in terms of exhibition space and is therefore featured not only in its usual Hall 2.2 but now also in Hall 2.3. There 180 brands from Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Norway, Turkey, Austria, Portugal, Greece, Netherlands, USA and China will show their latest trends for Fall Winters 2011/12 season. Children's Fashion Europe organizes once again the Children’s Fashion Catwalk at CPM Kids. 8.3 Hall will host the catwalk of following firms at 15,00 pm every day of the fair: Blue Seven, Barcarola, Bóboli, Cóndor, Gakkard, Mayoral, Pampolina, Snow Image and Special Day. CNA Federmoda y Feria Valencia join Children’s Fashion Europe Children’s Fashion Europe wants to welcome its new 2011 members: CNA FEDERMODA Association, from Italy and the International Fair Institution FERIA VALENCIA, from Spain. CNA FEDERMODA (www.cna.it/UNIONI/Federmoda) is the Italian organization which gathers textile, fashion, shoe sectors and all its related activities representing and protecting almost 25.000 manufactures companies and SMEs in Italy.

FERIA VALENCIA (www.feriavalencia.com). Located in the city of Valencia (Spain), is an international fair institution that counts with 320.000 m2 for exhibition, where one hundred events and fairs per year take place. 1.500.000 visitors and 13.000 exhibitors visit the fair every year. With these two new institutions CFE has now eight collaborators: ANIVEC from Portugal, ASEPRI from Spain, CNA FEDERMODA, from Italia and LE PÔLE ENFANT, from France; the Technological Institutes: AIJU, AITEX and IBV and the fair institution FERIA VALENCIA from Spain.

Available now the new CFE’s catalogue 2011 It is available now the Children’s Fashion Europe Catalogue 2011. This catalogue is a tool to promote our member’s brands, as CFE offers it to Children’s Fashion and Childcare professionals who visit the different fairs we are going to attend: CPM Kids (21-24 February in Moscow, Russia), Pitti Bimbo (23-25 June in Firenze, Italy), FIMI and Cero a Cuatro (1-3 July in Valencia, Spain). We also give the catalogue to the representatives of the trade missions we develop, both inside and outside EU, as we carried out in China, Korea and Japan in 2010. CFE collaborates with the European Project GPrix Children’s Fashion Europe collaborates with a recent European Project, GPrix. This Project will identify and disseminate good practices in innovation support measures adressed towards SMEs in traditional industries in 7 European regions.
