Each year brings with it new opportunities, all because we are part of a generous community. While 2018 isn’t over, we are already anticipating 2019… because it is our birthday! CFES will be 35 years old next year and we are excited to celebrate a tremendous legacy of giving and the potential for even greater things to come. We hope you will be a part of our festivities; please keep your eye out for special events throughout the year. We also have a few surprises to be unveiled as we honor our birthday with gifts to the community! The first of our anniversary celebrations kicks off as we launch the Endow Maryland Tax Credit Program for 2019. CFES will be making a $1:$1 match for every eligible gift received for a qualified Field of Interest or Community Needs Fund, up to $35,000! Through this celebratory program your gift is not only eligible for a state-level tax credit, but also increases in value, providing an even bigger impact to local charitable causes! More information on the Endow Maryland Tax Credit Program is available at CFES.org/ endowmd. Remember, tax credits are available on a first-come, first-served basis and the total match is limited to $35,000. As 2018 comes to a close and we welcome 2019, we look forward to another successful year of charitable giving, the smiles that our impact creates, and bringing ambitiously compassionate people together to celebrate! Annual Meeting The 2018

The 34th Annual Meeting and Award Luncheon took place November 2nd, 2018, at the Fountains Wedding & Conference Center in Salisbury, MD. More than 325 people were in attendance to celebrate the Foundation’s yearly accomplishments. In FY 2017 over $571,000 in scholarships were awarded and $5.4 million in grants were distributed.
