The defining moment for me was when I went to my first Impartation Breakfast and heard Daniel speak. I don’t remember everything he said... but the Holy Spirit had such a presence in the room that I knew then that the heart of CfaN was a reflection of Christ’s heart. I knew I had to be a part of the work that was going on here, so I started giving. What I most like about this ministry is both their genuine love and expression for God and for people . . . how they care so much for all people and take time throughout the days, weeks, and months to pray for every partner and prayer request.

a LIVING WITNESS There are lots of ways to witness to the lost, and for many it starts by being a good person in front of others. Although being a good person alone doesn’t get the job done, it is the right place to start. Jesus was constantly around unbelievers. He knew these were the people that needed what He had, and His love for them always superseded His knowledge of their sin. His compassion (not His condemnation) opened the door to their hearts, which allowed the light of Jesus to come pouring into their lives!
covers all. We are not the judge; we are living witnesses to the goodness of God. In this issue of Impact, we focus on what’s happening in America, and on equipping you with tools to reach the lost! The whole world will not be saved by the work of a handful of great evangelists alone; however, it will be saved by the collective work of millions of believers around the globe sharing the love, compassion and Good News of Jesus Christ.
I hope you will live with compassion for the lost, showing them that the love of God

FRONTieR on fire By Russell Benson
hen society was besieged by sin, the Church cried out for deep, meaningful change. In response to earnest prayers, God answered with waves of salvation that swept across America. Today, we are in a critical season, and the Church is stirring again for another Great Awakening.
The New Frontier Following the American Revolution, a great westward migration sparked the historic movement of the Second Great Awakening (late 1790s –1840).
impacted by these revivals. He and other local ministers ministered together with a sense of urgency and unity, and their meetings quickly erupted. The Cane Ridge Revival has been described as the "largest and most famous camp meeting of the Second Great Awakening." 1 Thousands gave their lives to the Lord in what was called “The Great Revival.” Some say these meetings helped form the religious character of America for generations to come.
Many new churches were birthed, and at the heart of it was a small frontier called Kentucky “Circuit rider”, preachers who traveled by horseback preaching in several churches. Tens of thousands came to hear a fresh word from the Lord.
Birthed by Prayer A mighty move of God began when a Presbyterian pastor, James McCready, rallied his three congregations in Logan County, Kentucky to pray. For four years, they prayed that the Holy Spirit would impact their towns. One day, revival broke out! Crowds grew so rapidly that they had to move the services outside.
Joining Forces Barton Stone, a Presbyterian pastor from Cane Ridge, Kentucky, was deeply
Stir the Fire America needs another Great Awakening! If the sin and selfishness of those who lived back then required shaking, we are sorely overdue. Let’s focus our prayers for a fresh wave of salvation to sweep across the country. Just as the “holy fire” spread from the frontier, may the Lord stir you to spread the Good News all across this great nation today. <<

STRENGTH IS A
SERVICE by Israel Houghton
hose of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, ‘How can I help?’” (Romans 15:1–2, MSG) A few years ago at our Deeper conference, I announced that everyone was getting a 3G upgrade. The place erupted! You would’ve thought revival was breaking out! Although it was just an illustrated introduction to my message, it took some folks more time to come around. I remember when the iPhone first came out. I was on my way to the Hillsong conference in Australia. As I walked through the airport, everybody noticed the sacred gadget, asking “Is that the new iPhone?“ Proud as a little boy on his birthday, I walked to the gate as if I was the only one in Houston who possessed this breakthrough technology.
Impact (Oct-Nov 2013)
The iPhone had not yet been released in Australia, and I felt so important, equating it with an elite status. But I came to understand later, that the phone, beyond its very cool apps and features was really just for making calls—a service. One day as I was reading Romans 15 (The Message version), I was hit with the words, “Strength is for service, not status.” It had been a few years since my friend, Aaron Lindsey and I started New Breed, whose influence had quickly grown beyond our expectations. Though effective publicly, I felt the need to inspect our motives privately. As a balloon expands to accommodate air pressure, I realised that eventually our ability to stretch on our own would pop. This pressure leaned into my character. So I quit. I quit every Monday...permanently. Then, when I’m at the end of my ability and energy, the Lord strengthens me and gets me going again on Tuesday morning.
While reading Romans 15, I decided I want my life and our ministry to be marked by service—to always look for the give and not the get. For empowering others, not entitling ourselves. Attaining status is hollow if we do not use it for His purposes. If we are not careful, the gifts upon us can be so great and quickly escalate to a level of influence that it can outgrow our capacity to sustain it.
God was giving New Breed a second chance: a revelation of strength being for service and not status; empowerment to empower others not to breed entitlement. We began championing for social justice organisations, being the hands and feet of Jesus to the hopeless and hurting, according to Matthew 25. Today, celebrating over a decade of team ministry with New Breed, I feel a sense of urgency like never before to love God, love people, and challenge leaders to use their strength for service, not status.
Strength is for service, not status
Although the beginnings of New Breed were so pure, somewhere along the way we lost the understanding of the privilege of walking and working with God. Some of our GET to was replaced by a GOT to. But God clearly got our attention with words from Amos 5:23-24, saying, ”…When was the last time you sang to me? Do you know what I want? I want justice—oceans of it. I want fairness—rivers of it…That’s all I want” (The Message).
We all need a motivational upgrade from time to time. Just as my first iPhone went from 2G to 3G, I seek God’s signal to remain on His network and be used in His service! <<
WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?
There are no prerequisites to be saved
No matter your past, God loves you 100%. His love is boundless, it covers all of your life: your past, your present and your future. His invitation is for everyone, and that includes you. God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4

Since 1999, over 60
million souls have accepted Jesus
as a result of Christ for all Nations' Great Gospel Campaigns in Africa.
NOW this amazing outpouring is about to flood ANOTHER continent
blood-washed Africa – a continent washed in the blood of Jesus Christ – that was the vision that God gave Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke almost 40 years ago. Since that day he has been filled with a burning commitment to win Africa for Jesus Christ. The salvation of a continent is becoming a reality – “not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord“. [Zec. 4:6] In a mere 13 years (1987–2000) a total of more than 53 million people attended the CfaN Gospel campaigns and 16 million

made a clear decision for Jesus Christ and were integrated into the follow-up programs organised by the local church fellowships. What has happened since November 1999 far out-weighs anything that had been experienced previously. When, after an absence of nine years, Reinhard Bonnke and his team proclaimed the Gospel once again in Nigeria, as many as 500,000 people attended just one service in Benin City; in six days 2 million came to the meetings.
Then came evangelistic meetings in the Nigerian towns of Port Harcourt, Calabar and Aba. In Aba 600,000 visitors pressed onto a schoolground in order to take part in a meeting. In those four campaigns alone, a total of 4 million people made a decision for Jesus. The major six-day campaign “Lagos 2000 – the Millennium Crusade” in November 2000 was visited by a total of 6 million people. The final meeting on Sunday was attended by 1.6 million people who gathered on the huge site next to the Oshodi-Apapa expressway in Lagos. That was the largest number of visitors
in the history of Christ for all Nations. From the platform, the crowd looked just like a vast heaving sea. With a total of 3.9 million visitors in 5 days, 1.3 million in the final service and 2,650,190 completed decision cards, the outreach in Ibadan proved to be the next largest CfaN campaign after Lagos. Since CfaN has been allowed back to Nigeria in 2000, there have been more than 90 Gospel campaigns mainly in Nigerian towns and cities, a veritable triumphal Gospel march. <<

or an evangelist, intercessors are the munitions workers providing the dynamite for our Gospel bombardment of hell. More than prayer partners, intercessors are a “Moses kind of people.” Moses was a prince, lawgiver, nationmaker and genius. However, he was something even greater: Moses was an intercessor! When Israel was threatened, he turned to intercession not to his warfare training. He defended his people by pleading with God. But forty years earlier, Moses had taken things upon himself to deliver Israel; but he failed and then had to flee. Another time, he asserted himself in what the Bible calls unbelief. The Israelites’ discontent pushed him to extremes, and he responded arrogantly (see Num. 20:10). Moses had forsaken his secret. Moses’ secret was intercession. Episode after episode illustrate Moses’ power. His impact on history is greater than anyone’s, except for Christ’s.
19 Impact (Oct-Nov (Sept-Oct 2013) 2013)
Such rich results move me to watch this prince with God. Read the story of Amalek’s battle with Israel in Ex. 17:8–16, and see how Moses led his people to victory.
Reaching the Heart of God First, intercession was wrought in Moses’ heart. His prayer wasn’t formal or a word-for-word formula. Moses spoke not a word, but his spirit strove with God, and he expressed it by lifting his hands. Aaron and Hur shared in this victory by supporting his arms. We reach God’s heart by our hearts, not by our lips. But we must express ourselves, and Moses physically put himself into his supplications.
Battering Rams of Intercession Secondly, one man lifted his hands, but two men helped him. There has been much said about “a man to stand in the gap,” but who can point to such a man? Others must be in on the act,
Intercession builds a highway for the evangelism that wins the world.
and this story shows THEY MUST BE! We cannot leave the praying to one person, or to a few “prayer warriors.” As mighty battering rams, millions should gather to storm the citadel of sin!
Touch Point on Earth of Heavenly Power Thirdly, Amalek felt a satanic hostility against Israel, and that enmity was met by prayer. Amalek would seem to have had no reason for the attack. The assault was devil inspired and quite irrational. Only a spiritual power could resist it. The same is true today. The enemies of the Gospel walk “according to the prince of the power of the air…” (Eph. 2:1). We must come to grips spiritually to break that power. Good sermons alone will never do the job. Evil lies deep. Drive it out by the all-prevailing weapon of prayer and supplication—the touch point on earth of heavenly power.
Relationship Between Prayer and Events Fourthly, Moses, Aaron and Hur won the battle on the mountaintop, together with Joshua and his men below. The tide of battle did not go according to Joshua’s strategy, but according to the intercession of these men. It seems that Moses occasionally lowered his arms, with Amalek prevailing until he lifted them again. The relationship between prayer and events was clearly demonstrated.
In the Palm of His Hand
like fingers. Each finger functions on its own, but only when connected to the palm of a hand. That palm represents the Body of Christ. Intercession is a function of the Body, not just a task of the fingers. All members of the Body of Christ should intercede, and this is the principle employed in our Gospel campaigns.
How It Is Done In preparation of our campaigns, the CfaN team members gather thousands to instruct and lead into intercession. Several weeks before a campaign, members of the Body of Christ intercede for the salvation of souls and the moving of God’s Spirit. The intensity of such intercession doesn’t climax and conclude when the campaign starts. It continues until the altar call. Hundreds… sometimes thousands pray and engage in spiritual warfare. While the evangelist is ministering, those behind the scenes deal with spiritual forces to help win the evangelist’s victory. It is just like Moses praying for Joshua while he was in battle. With this intercessory backing, the enemy withdraws, and there is a great harvest of souls, an edification of the Body of Christ and a fulfillment of His Word. We all become partners with Christ and shareholders in His harvest. Ultimately, this strategy affects the individual Christian, churches, the city, the country and above all, the unbeliever. Intercession builds a highway for the evangelism that wins the world!
Fifthly, Moses lifted up his hands (including his fingers). The five offices (Eph. 4) are
t some point, everyone has heard or used the phrase, “perception is reality.” However, this contradicts a foundational principle that is often overlooked in many individuals concerning personal evangelism. If perception is reality, then the majority of people we encounter daily are doomed to hell. People may not verbally say or believe it, but it’s what their actions suggest.
of hell in a person’s life, rather than the God of heaven and earth who can set them free. They see addictions, strongholds and false religions. But this is the devil’s trap to keep us from reaching the lost, and we want to expose this deception.
If perception is reality, then the majority of people we encounter daily are doomed to hell.
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” —2 Corinthians 4:18 A key reason why many in the Body of Christ don’t step out in evangelism is because of their perception and then they make that their reality. Their focus is on the bondage
21 Impact (Sept-Oct 2013)
Without realising or confessing it, when we don’t reach out because of what we see, we are putting more faith in the bondage in people’s lives that we can see, rather than putting our faith in the Holy Spirit and the Blood of Jesus we cannot see. One day I was witnessing to a man in the witchcraft section of a bookstore. He began sharing with me about a demonic encounter he had. Even though I was sensitive and compassionate, he became very angry. After his angry outburst, I asked him if I could
NESS F i x i n g O u r E y e s o n t h e U n s ee n by Joe Oden
pray for him, and he surprisingly concurred. After praying, his whole countenance and the atmosphere changed. I prayed that the fire of God would touch him when he got back to his truck. He was baffled that I said he had a truck because I had no way of knowing. The conversation ended, and I went on my way.
man’s anger or his demonic story, I would have walked away. But my eyes weren’t fixed on the bondage I saw; rather I was focused on the God who answers by fire that I could not see. So let us take our eyes off the bondages we see and put them on the God we cannot see. He has the power to break every bondage!
A year later, a friend who occasionally joined me on these outreaches told me an outstanding testimony. A couple of months ago, a man stood up in her church to share how he had gotten saved. He said he was in the witchcraft section of a bookstore, and a man started telling him about Jesus. Although he was ready to punch him out, he decided to let the guy pray for him. Afterwards, the fire of God fell on him, and he knelt down and gave his life to Jesus Christ.
A wonderful way to overcome this challenge is to take God’s Word as the absolute truth no matter what you see, feel or sense. His Word is our double-edged sword (see Hebrews 4:12). So we must do more than just say we believe it; we must act on that belief (see James 2:17). Then we will not just believe, but we will testify of the reality that, “Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4), and that “No weapon formed against us shall prosper”(Isaiah 54:17). Stand and act on simple, yet transforming, truths and you shall see Jesus working through your life to destroy the works of the devil. Go for it! I believe in you! <<
This is a perfect story about why we shouldn't focus on what we see. If I had been focused on those witchcraft books, the
Want to Lead People to Jesus? Tips on Sharing the Gospel
Sharing the Gospel of Jesus with Muslims
Did you know there are actually some similar beliefs between Christianity and Islam? Not only are they important to bring up if you minister to a Muslim, but they’ll help bridge the gap between two such opposing faiths. That, plus a practical approach, will help you pave the way for God (not Allah) to touch their heart.
Write Your Own Personal Tract
What would make witnessing to someone more interesting and personable than by sharing your own testimony? Whether it’s how you came to Christ or about an event that brought you closer to Him or challenged your faith, people love a good story! Just like Jesus reached the crowds with amazing stories, you can also reach those God puts in your path for ministry.
Evangelism 101: Methods to Winning the Lost and Overcoming Obstacles
Evangelism isn’t a “one size fits all” ministry. People are different and are at different parts of their journey. Arming yourself with practical tactics of evangelism will position you to share Christ with fewer roadblocks or frustrations that the devil may try to put in your path. Whether you’re witnessing to a stranger, a friend or family member, keep it simple! What really matters is that you’ve sown a seed in someone’s life—let God handle the rest.
Power Evangelism “Until You are Endued with Power”
Ready to take on the world? Before you step out into the harvest field, be sure you’ve received the full measure of the Holy Spirit. Then, like a faucet, His power will flow through you with the living water of Jesus.
Prophetic Evangelism & the Gifts of the Spirit: Lessons from Jesus on the Art of Witnessing
How you approach sharing Jesus with someone is about trusting the Holy Spirit’s abilities not your own. Be patient and allow Him to connect the person’s heart with His first, then watch His power work through you.
How to Effectively Lead Someone to Christ
Every believer can be an effective witness for Christ—no matter what kind of personality they have. What you do have to have is His compassion for the lost. Then through you, that compassion will draw people to the revelation that they are indeed lost and in desperate need of a saviour.

Flare in the Night Sky
was at home in Vero Beach, Florida, when I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit speak. “I didn’t send you to America for America just to be the offering plate for Africa. I sent you to America for America’s sake.” Wow! It hit me like lightning. “Oh Lord, what do you want me to do?” I inquired. “Have a Gospel Campaign in the little town you live in … I will be with you.” Vero Beach is indeed a ”little town.” It has just 14,000 inhabitants, so I read. “Oh, that’s easy,” I thought, “I can preach here to a couple hundred people.”
"...I sent you to America for America's sake."
In February of this year that Gospel Campaign took place, and to my surprise we had close to 5,000 people in every service. This was to me a glaring flare of God’s intention, shot into the night sky. Every time I prayed, I heard in my spirit the words “AMERICA WILL BE SAVED.” “What? Me? Can it be?” The reply I got was, “I AM WITH YOU.“
Doubting Doubts From 2000 to 2009, we saw over 55 million people respond to the call of salvation—and complete a Decision Card—in our African Gospel Campaigns. We witnessed how God shook nations and opened tens of millions of hearts to receive salvation. Had it not been for the financial support of our American missions partners, we could not have brought in this glorious harvest. They really “cast their bread CfaN.org
upon the water,” and now it is coming back to them. Yes, “Africa shall be saved,” and “America will be saved,” but doubts still lingered. Doubts? Why is it that we always seem to doubt the Word of the Lord? Why not doubt the doubts of the devil? And that’s just what I’ll do! I’ve decided to doubt Satan’s lies but trust the Word of Jesus Christ. I have faith in Him because He is faithful. He alone is trustworthy. The same God is involved and doing what He said He would do. The campaign in Africa has turned me into an incurable believer. I know what God told me will happen. And even though there are plenty of prophets of doom and gloom, this is not the day of damnation—IT IS THE DAY OF SALVATION. (Remember: The word “Gospel” means Good News!)
Good News If the President of the United States came to your town, it would not be a topic for discussion, philosophy or logic. It would be news. A presidential visit is not a “conception” or an article of faith. It’s an event. News is not logic or reason, but it is what happened. Nobody thinks it up, so nobody can reason about it. Whether you are a simple person or a brilliant scholar, you just have to accept it as news. The Gospel is the same—news … the good news that Jesus Christ has come to set people free from their sins and heal their bodies. Here is how Paul put it: “By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you: … that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve” (1 Corinthians 15:2–5).
That was the creed then. And that is the creed now. It is a statement of facts about Christ. Believing the facts and trusting Jesus saves us. Take the following small detail as an example: “One of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true” (John 19:34-35). The account given by John is proof of an event that happened. No one can reason about it—it happened. More importantly, it’s more than just a factual report—it’s news with an eternal promise!
The Journey Begins I foresee a mighty wave of salvation rolling across America. The Gospel must and will be preached from stadium to stadium, from city to city, from state to state and from coast to coast. God’s hands formed Adam from the clay of the earth, and those same hands were pierced for his salvation. In other words, the God who created Adam also created the Gospel. The Gospel is for you and me— we were made for it! Every human heart reverberates when the Gospel is preached because God is involved. And every generation needs regeneration. My heart cries out for the young people of America! Today witchcraft, occultism and evil make the Gospel as vital as a gun in a snake pit. The devil is on the run as Jesus sets the captives free—wholesale. Cool and casual Christianity will do nothing. Nations urgently need the flaming message of the Cross now, not at our leisure. A burning message, and nothing but that, was supposed to be presented to the world. I am ready to preach. It is going to be a Gospel Campaign with crystal clear salvation emphasis. Please,
My heart cries out for the young people of America!

But now is the time to get back behind the plow to bring in lost souls. The harvest must not go unreaped while reapers merely defend their land. Christ did not die to give people a career but to save the lost. To start off this new vision here in America, we will host a Gospel Campaign in Orlando, Florida. We have been able to secure an indoor stadium for September 27 and 28, 2013, at the Amway Center (in partnership with local churches, etc.). UHURU F REEDOM C OMES TO N AIRO B I
CfaN's Gospel Campaign was held at Uhuru Park, perhaps the most iconic open-air venue in Nairobi. “Uhuru” means “freedom” in Swahili – what an appropriate name! Many people experienced just that, precious freedom through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
n Friday night, Daniel Kolenda preached about the blood of Jesus. Barrels of occult objects were burned as he called out the curses, taking authority over them and breaking them in Jesus’ name. Afterward, two Kenyan church leaders separately came to Daniel and said, “Nothing like this has ever happened in Nairobi before.” Many of the Christians had been afraid of witchdoctors, and animism and tradition had crept into some of the churches. Burning those fetishes and publicly renouncing witchcraft was a monumental breakthrough for the Body of Christ in Nairobi. That night many miracles took place, including people getting out of wheelchairs, a boy’s deaf ear opened, a woman’s tumor disappeared and more. “Uhuru” (freedom) had come to Nairobi through the blood of Jesus Christ!
Saturday’ evening was also amazing! The meeting was broadcast live on television to the entire country and beyond to East Africa. President Kenyatta of Kenya attended and addressed the crowd. He asked for forgiveness from those he had wronged and also forgave those who had wronged him. Afterward, he stayed for the preaching. Daniel preached about repentance, restitution and the changed life that accompanies salvation. He challenged the people to follow Jesus no matter the cost; thousands responded enthusiastically. This crusade was declared a spiritual landmark for the nation. After preaching, Daniel prayed for the crowd to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and more healings and miracles followed the powerful outpouring! Overall, literally thousands experienced a supernatural miracle of healing in the Nairobi campaign << CfaN.org.uk

About 6 years ago, I started having stomach pains. Every time I ate, I was in pain. A specialist diagnosed a stomach ulcer, but over the years it got worse. It grew from a gastric ulcer to a duodenal ulcer and then developed into pancreatitis. The bigger it got, the more pain I felt. Sometimes it was so bad that I could not walk upright but had to hunch over. Or I would sit in bed for most of the night because of the pain; or when the ulcer bled, I had to take medication.
me hope for all the issues in my own life. So I decided that no matter how much pain I was in, I would come to the campaign. My Christian mother, who brought me, encouraged me to believe that God would heal me. I decided that I had to find salvation from my sins as well as healing. I had been struggling with self-identity and had done things in my life that I am not proud of. So I prayed: God, You are a merciful God; if it is Your will, I will be able to attend the campaign. And I did!
I heard about the Gospel campaign through my father. His cousin experienced a miracle at the last campaign. She was worried because she had not been able to fall pregnant again. Then she came to the meetings, and several weeks later she was pregnant. Her testimony gave
I responded to the call of salvation. I prayed the prayer, and I felt right then that God had touched me. Now I have no pain. I did not take any medication and cannot feel any pain, even though I have eaten. I feel really well now, and my self-esteem is also restored! << <<

Interview with Ruth Odongo I was not born again... I realised I had to follow this God Who had healed me. Interviewed by Andy Freeman
uth Odongo shared her touching testimony at the Great Gospel Campaign in Nairobi. This 53-year-old widow has three children and travelled over 300 miles from Mombasa to give God the glory! She came as a “walking testimony” of God’s love and power. Her story begins about 20 years ago. She had been suffering from serious physical problems for about 4 years when CfaN held its Great Gospel Campaign in Kibera, a large slum area on the outskirts of Nairobi. Andy: Could you tell us your story? Ruth: First I started having pain, then my leg became black and I could not lift it any more because it was painful. So I dragged it behind me. About two months later it started on the other leg. Andy: Did you go to the doctor? Ruth: Yes, I went to the hospital but they could not find anything. Andy: How did this affect your daily life? Ruth: I could only walk very slowly, like a toddler. I was in a lot of pain. After a while the pain started moving up my legs. It continued to get worse for about 4 years. By the time I received my healing, it had reached the waist.
Andy: How did you hear about the campaign? Were you a believer at this time? Ruth: No, I was not born again. I heard about Reinhard Bonnke from a friend, who told me that this servant of God was here and I could go there to receive my healing. This friend also helped me to get to Kibera by bus. Andy: What happened exactly? Ruth: The lady who went with me on the bus had to go to work and could not come along to the meeting. She helped me across the road and I started walking very slowly by myself. Meanwhile I saw masses of people going to the meetings. I decided to crawl on my knees. Crawling, I reached a corner where I could hear the loudspeakers and the crowd. As I was crawling, I heard the servant of God saying: “I can see you cannot walk, I can see you cannot stand, but try your best to come. The Lord will heal you today. Today is your day!” Andy: He was saying this from the stage? Ruth: Yes, he was speaking this from the campaign grounds. And I was still on the other side trying to crawl to the field when he had started preaching.
Andy: As you heard this, what did you feel? Ruth: I received the word and held onto it and said to myself: This is my word and the Lord is going to heal me. Encouraged by the words I was able to crawl more quickly. I prayed, "Lord even though I am not a believer, allow me to reach the campaign grounds so that I can receive my healing." By the grace of God I managed to get there just as the servant of God finished preaching. I saw him leave the platform. But I held onto the word and resolved that I would reach the platform and touch the pulpit and receive my healing. That’s what I did. Nobody assisted me. The security people had already started dismantling the platform. I managed to get there by the grace of God, and the moment I reached it I started feeling a change in me; I started receiving power from my feet upwards. I realised that I could stand and walk on my own; strength came into my legs slowly and steadily with each step. I went back home walking on my own. Andy: You were not a Christian when you received your healing by faith. So what happened between then and now? Ruth: I realised that I had to follow this God who had healed me. But everybody had already gone as it was the final meeting. There was no minister to help
I was the first person in my family to receive Christ, so I started preaching to them. me. So I decided to go and find a pastor or a minister to pray for me to receive Christ. Andy: One question, for interest’s sake. How long did it take you from the bus station to the field? Ruth: It was in the morning when I got off the bus and I reached the campaign grounds by the evening. If I had been able to walk normally, it would have taken all of 45 minutes. Andy: Were there any other believers in your family at that time? Ruth: No, I was the first person in my family to receive Christ, so I started preaching to them. They believed and accepted Christ. They saw what God had done. I spread the Gospel through my testimony and many have come to Christ.

n January 25, 2014, a oneday campaign will be held in Maseru, Lesotho in the National Stadium. This event, in a city of less than a quarter of a million people, promises to be the most historic event on the CfaN 2014 calendar. Why is this so? The answer is quite simple. For four straight nights in Maseru, the dream of a blood-washed Africa came to Ev. Bonnke. He heard the heart-cry of the Holy Spirit, “You will plunder hell to populate heaven for Calvary’s sake.” Yes indeed, it was in the tiny nation of Lesotho, that the CfaN ball began to roll. Today, that ball continues onward, even into the next generation. For more than three decades, my family has formed part of the CfaN team. My mother, Thea Britz, was the first generation, and I follow as the second. Currently, we work side-by-side, heading up the Southern Africa Office, managing seven staff members and furthering the vision, “Africa shall be saved!” Both in local office management and the headship of the ministry as a whole, the baton is being passed on. With the shift of leadership from Ev. Bonnke to Ev. Kolenda, we see how the mighty combine harvester that is Christ for all Nations shall continue plunging forward to see Africa washed by the blood of the Lamb.
members perished on the mission field and rejoiced as over one million souls were born into the Kingdom in a single service. And yet, through times of mourning and periods of great rejoicing, the vision has remained arrow-sharp. In addition to the Maseru campaign, our Cape Town-based team is arranging a Fire Conference in Pretoria, March 21–22, 2014. We are excited to announce that this conference will now be held annually and we look forward to taking it from city to city, igniting believers to win souls! As Evangelists Bonnke and Kolenda preach side-by-side, our team will ensure that all runs seamlessly behind the scenes. Both on stage and off, multiple generations shall continue working together, ensuring that CfaN pursues its God-ordained purpose for decades to come. Yes indeed, Africa is being saved! <<
Over the past thirty years, I have watched as CfaN advanced from a single office in Witfield, South Africa, to 10 international offices. I have witnessed crowds growing into multitudes so spectacularly large, surpassing the first 34,000-seat tents in CfaN’s early days. I have grieved as team

ne well-known preacher who identifies himself as an “evangelist” published this quote recently in one of his books: “We can preach the Gospel all day long, but that won’t win souls…” This comment is typical of an attitude I have been seeing more and more in certain Christian circles. There seems to be contempt for the preaching of the Gospel accompanied by the idea that it simply not enough. Many preachers seem to loathe preaching the simple message of salvation as though it were beneath their academic level—an insult to their profound intellect. I have seen how some “evangelists” never touch the core elements of the Gospel, choosing rather to address social issues and give tips on better living. I have not heard the Gospel coming from the vast majority of the most fashionable preachers on television or the popular preaching circuit. I have heard recently how some have declared that the “Gospel” is really not the message of the cross, while another told me recently that he wasn’t even sure how to preach the Gospel.
The apostle Paul encountered similar attitudes in his day. To the Jews, the Gospel was a “stumbling block.” For the Greeks, the cross was just too simple and lacked the philosophical sophistication that they were accustomed to. They wrote the Gospel off as “foolishness.”
Early in Paul’s ministry to the Gentiles, we see how he attempted to conform his message to reach the Athenians by using a diplomatic type of approach. On Mars Hill, He preached a “culturally relevant message” that seemed both profound and appropriate for the setting. Rather than preaching the cross, he preached
The power is not in clever speeches, dynamic events or inventive methods. The power is in the GOSPEL...IT IS THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION. This is exactly what Paul discovered. It is the great secret—all the supernatural resources of Heaven come to bear when the Gospel is preached. The Gospel

Although a few people believed, the consensus seems to have been relative indifference. The people agreed to discuss the topic more, saying, “We will hear thee again of this matter.” But where was the transformational, revolutionary power of the Gospel? It seems to have been missing. Paul’s approach changed as his ministry matured. In the end we find him confidently declaring, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for IT IS THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION for everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16). When you read that verse, put the emphasis on the word "it." IT is the power of God unto salvation.

could easily do what persuasive words of man's wisdom could never accomplish. IT is the power of God unto salvation.
My heart has been heavy because I feel as though my generation has largely forgotten the Gospel and has lost the art of preaching it. Sure, once and a while I hear an "altar call" tagged onto the end of a sermon about something else. But where is the raw, declaration of the Gospel message: Sin & Salvation - Heaven & Hell - Repentance & Faith? Fashionable trends in preaching may come and go, but in the end, like Paul, we will find that it is the Gospel that brings the results. Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke told the story of the first person he ever led to the Lord. “One day,” he said, “I took my guitar and headed to a street corner downtown. I had quite a nice singing voice as a boy, thanks to the training from my mother. I began to sing until a small crowd gathered. Then I put down my guitar, reached for my Bible, and preached the simple invitation to receive Jesus. To my amazement, one man knelt and prayed the sinner’s prayer with me right there on the street!
I raced home as fast as my legs would carry me, bursting into the living room completely out of breath. Mother and Father must have thought that the city was burning down. ‘Father, Father!’ I cried. ‘It works! It works! A man came to hear me preach today, and he accepted Jesus!’”
THE TIME! Never has the Unites States needed a sweeping move of salvation more than we do right now, and God’s hand of mercy is being extended to our nation once again. I believe that what God has done in Africa, He can and will do in America as well, in Jesus’ name!
Today Evangelist Bonnke has led millions of people all over the world to Christ. Christ for all Nations, which he founded, has seen more than 74 million people come to Christ on the African continent
With the announcement that Reinhard Bonnke is going to be moving across America holding mass evangelistic Campaigns, my American friends have now started to ask, “What is your strategy?” At first I wasn’t sure what they meant, but it seems that many feel America needs something more sophisticated, polished and elaborate than just the Gospel. But in reality, if slick programmes and high-tech performances were the answer, America would have been saved long ago.
"When is it going to happen in America?"... NOW IS THE TIME! since 1987. This means that, at the time of this writing, we have seen, on average, nearly 8,000 people come to Christ every day for the past 25 consecutive years! Why do the multitudes flock to our meetings around the world? It’s not because of great light shows or famous musicians; they come to hear the simple message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached with a demonstration of the Spirit and power! We have all learned one thing—the same thing evangelist Bonnke discovered on the street corner as a little boy—the Gospel really, really, really, works! Whenever I would come back to the States after one of our huge Gospel Campaigns, my American friends would ask, “When is it going to happen in America?” Now we can say with confidence that NOW IS
We are coming with one conviction—a confidence that comes from rich experience—that the Gospel is still the power of God unto salvation and it is enough! It is the Gospel that America needs. Not someone’s opinion. Not another conference. Not a new or trendy doctrine, but the old-fashioned, pure, powerful, original Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are betting everything that this Gospel, which we have seen shake one nation after another, will shake America as well. Our prayer is that not only will many souls come to salvation through our American Gospel Campaigns, but also that America will fall in love with the Gospel again and that many others will rediscover the amazing power in the proclamation of the Gospel. Now is the time! <<
