The 60th Anniversary CES season closes in spectacular fashion with the return of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. Under the baton of Music Director Elizabeth Schulze, whom The Washington Post calls “a superb conductor,” MSO will fill the Pealer Recital Hall with the music of Ludwig von Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat Major, Op. 73, popularly known as the Emperor Concerto and Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op 67. Joining MSO is guest artist Yuliya Gorenmen. The Russian-born musician has rightfully been called a “pianist without fear.” With artistic fire and a fluid, unpretentious technique, she has become known for the lyrical honesty and generosity of her playing. She first achieved international acclaim as a prizewinner of the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium. She has since performed solo, chamber and orchestral concerts throughout the United States and Europe. CES MEMBERS ONLY $28.80 ADULT $36.00 UNDER 17/ FSU STAFF $32.40 FSU STUDENT $10.00
