Some liquid metal is applied to the bare door. This coating contains molecules of pure metal that give the lacquer aesthetic and physical properties that are unique in the field of coatings. After it has dried, a chemical reactant that causes the metal to rust and creates the Corten effect is applied to the surface by hand. Lastly, protective coats are applied to make the door mechanically and chemically resistant. Some coats of polyurethane lacquer are applied to the bare door, i.e. door side A + edge and door side B + edge to ensure that the lacquer adheres perfectly to the edges as well. After having sanded the door, a certain quantity of coloured lacquer is applied that has the main feature of creating a surface with a slight, orange-peel effect and metallic reflections.
